CasinoCruzGirl Posted February 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2014 Sailing on BA 3/23/14 had a BB balcony cabin for 3 of us and upgraded to a B9 Spa Balcony for a total of $180 for the 3 of us. Did I do the right thing? I'm thinking I did because we get access to the spa and were going to purchase spa access once on board which I think would have cost $199 per person for the week. Since the weather is iffy in March I thought this was a good deal and want to be able to go into the spa pool and lounges. By doing this I think we saved $420. Yay me? Rdtbank Posted February 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2014 Great deal! Spa passes are limited also so you may not even get any once onboard. I went with a B9 cabin also just to be sure. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
js Posted February 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2014 I thought the spa cabins only held 2. I guess its 3. Great for you! We are sailing on the Breakaway for our second time in August. Cant wait!
VanessaM Posted February 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2014 I'm on hold right now (going on 20m) trying to do the same thing. They are running a FL Resident special so right now a reg balcony is cheaper than what our friends paid for an inside. Crossing my fingers..... VanessaM Posted February 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2014 After being on hold for 53 minutes, I was upgraded to a Spa Balcony for no charge! :D They offered me a Spa or Mini Suite, but from what I've read, I think I prefer having the spa pass than a bigger bathroom. fergusonvt Posted February 13, 2014 #10 Share Posted February 13, 2014 Make sure the spa pass applies to all 3 of you. I thought I had read someone here somewhere that it was only for the first 2.

I thought I had read someone here somewhere that it was only for the first 2. The ncl rep said for all 3 of us. If 3 of us are paying for a spa cabin why wouldn't it pertain to everyone in the same cabin. And yes I knew the answer kinda just wanted to share my good news. It was for the first two people and the third didn't get access. Kinda crappy in my opinion. Enjoy! I love upgrading myself and have done it on all 4 of my cruises. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app I called on Saturday and almost paid for the upgrade. It was $275. Glad I listened to my intuition who told me to wait. We did the first time when we went to Alaska and were hooked. We have 37 days till we go so I will report when I get back.

annarack Posted February 14, 2014 #16 Share Posted February 14, 2014 Just upgraded our cabin too, originally booked a BX balcony GTY and received a BB. Upgraded to an M1 aft minisuite (400sqft - last minute unsold HC cabin) for £120, seems a great deal for the extra space. Always wanted to try an aft cabin, so excited! Who needs the upsell fairy when we can do it ourselves?! Thanks to everyone who posts on CC, this was my inspiration to go for this type of deal. fergusonvt Posted February 14, 2014 #17 Share Posted February 14, 2014 Keep checking for price drops prior to final payment also. 3 weeks ago I checked out 2015 prices and our SG had dropped by $85pp and I got an extra $100 in OBC all for a 5 minute phone call. We now have $400 in OBC which I'm not even sure we can spend!

Lol Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app That is a great upgrade! I also have a BB balcony on BA sailing 2/23 but when I tried two days ago to upgrade to spa, the price to upgrade was $400 and we'd lose our promos ($75 OBC, bottle of wine) and there are only two of us... So we wouldn't have saved over the price of a spa pass at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
