Luggage tags for carry-ons?

We put luggage tags on everything including carry-ons. Our carry-ons are kept in the car with us not with the luggage so there's no mixup problem. My wife lost her cane on one cruise so now I even put a luggage tag on her cane. The cane got stuck inside the magnetometer and we just walked away. You ask how could someone misplace there cane ,well she uses it most of the time.

I don't put tags on my carry on. However, my carry on has an external pocket so in that I put a luggage tag or similar, just incase my bag and I got separated, in the hope that it might be easier to retrieve or be returned. My case is always locked with a TSA lock anyway as on flights it sometimes has to go in a different bin to the one directly above my seat.

Hope you have a great cruise OP :)
