startwin Posted February 15, 2014 #26 Share Posted February 15, 2014 It's a detailed information about the balconies no matter what you are doing: choosing, booking, comparing, just reading. When/if you make it fleet-wide, it might have more value. Not enough detail to base a booking on, for sure.
dr.dawg Posted February 15, 2014 Author #27 Share Posted February 15, 2014 i want to thank each and everyone of you folks for your advice, insight and, particularly your support and best wishes. my ta says i may not know my cabin number until a week prior to the cruise; i'll keep you up to date. what ever happens i'll be 'gettin'away' for two weeks at sea in warm weather; i don't really care where the n/a goes. again, thank you from the bottom of my heart; your kindness truly helps. doublebzz Posted February 15, 2014 #28 Share Posted February 15, 2014 I think we all need to remember that a large part of communication lies in facial expression, tone, and inflection. Since we don't have these on a message board, it is easy to misinterpret the intention of others. I did not sense any malice in the posts questioning your decision to sail with HAL, Dr. Dawg, more curiosity. Regardless, I wish you a joyful, healing time on your cruise. I walked/crawled/clawed through my daughter's cancer when she was 12/13 year old, and having trips to look forward to sure helps! I agree with your post and I agree with Dr. Dawg's reponse. As we used to say in the Navy, "A complaining (expletive changed) sailor is a happy one".
