carnival03 Posted February 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2014 We've purchased FTTF and see the FTTF stamp on our luggage tags however is there suppose to be something on our boarding pass because nothing is present. Also how is debarkation ran with FTTF? The night before.. do we get to choose an exact time or zone number what is defined by early or late debarkation time? I appreciate everyone's help, thanks! :)
coltsmama Posted February 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2014 yes, we had the logo on our boarding pass as well : and we were automatically given zone 1, but we chose the self-assist and were able to get off the boat after the platinum and diamond self-assists, before they announced to the ship that anyone else could debark. Pr0spect0r Posted February 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2014 We had to reprint our boarding passes to get the logo on them. Maybe try that? WRT embarkation, we were the 2nd or third group to board. It went VIP's, then Gold/Platinum, then us. Our room was made up but luggage did not reach us until much later in the day. For debarkation we were group 2, which is a mixed blessing. Since we had a late flight, it actually would have been beneficial to wait and debark later in the day. IIRC, for our cruise, we had to debark at 07:30 AM, which is pretty early after a week of sleeping late.
Davey Wavey Posted February 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2014 ^^What Prospector said. FTTF stuff didn't show up until about 5 minutes after I had purchased it. I reprinted the luggage tags and boarding pass a few times before it showed up.
Davey Wavey Posted February 14, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2014 On our last cruise, we had zone 2 through the premier casino cruise program. We were not leaving until the following day, so we hung out on the ship until the cruise director came up to us and said, "If you're trying to be the last ones off the ship, you made it!" You don't have to go during your zone, but you know most people are trying to leave asap.

This is what we're doing in April any tips or important info? Thanks again!

Pr0spect0r Posted February 14, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2014 Not sure. I wonder if we could have worked something with guest services or something. They don't give you the luggage tags until the night before, and by then we were so swamped with packing and rounding up the kids that we just couldn't afford the time to stand in line at GS. What we did with the extra time was we hitched a ride to the Miami airport on Alamo's shuttle (tipped the driver $10 for the ride) and rented a car for $60. We had enough time to drive south beach, get lost in little Havanna, get out to the Everglades for an air boat tour and lunch, return to Coconut Beach and play at a park then returning to Miami Airport for 4:30 to clear our flight. You may be able to stitch something similar together.
snc_cam Posted February 14, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2014 When we were on the Freedom in Dec, we were actually "before" zone 1. But did have to wait for wedding parties, platinum/diamond, and I think the suites. But certainly before all the guests. We did get right to the room and actually, our luggage was waiting for us, so I dragged it in and went to lunch. About the swimsuits, pack them in your carryon. For leaving, you can go out with the platinum/diamond if you want to carry your luggage off. If not, you will be zone 1 to leave. But you can stay on the ship until they throw you off, probably 930ish. Steve

Apparently, each ship handles luggage express differently. On the liberty last month they made us all meet in the dining room and escorted us off. That was 8:00. cooncat_mom Posted February 14, 2014 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2014 On the Splendor cruise that we just finished, for debarkation we were given both Zone 1 Priority luggage tags and regular Zone 4 tags. Although we were able to sit in the FTTF gathering place, we were able to choose to leave with Zone 4, which is what we chose as we no longer had a flight thanks to the storm!
