PunkiC Posted February 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2014 Just checking. They didn't have it on the QM2 the last time we sailed her and we really missed it.
Underwatr Posted February 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Haven't been on QE yet but I've used WiFi in the room on both QV and QM2 so I think you're set. Connectivity was problematic on QV depending on the time of day.
pmb1 Posted February 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2014 QM2 had cabin WiFi in July, 2013, so most likely QE has it also. See ask.cunard.com for details.
capnpugwash Posted February 17, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2014 All three ships have wifi throughout. Connectivity can be a problem at peak usage times but with the application of a little thought it works fine, not great but fine :)
Rare Scrapnana Posted February 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Most definitely. I am answering this from my stateroom on QE on our way to American Somoa.
tangoll Posted February 17, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Is in room wifi free of charge or do you have to have a internet time plan for the cruise?
cunardaddict Posted February 17, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Is in room wifi free of charge or do you have to have a internet time plan for the cruise? You better buy a plan and manage your time consumption by logging on and off for each action. I have to work a lot on the journeys ecxhanging huge documents and get away with 4hrs per week. With diamond status this is not a cost matter.
Underwatr Posted February 17, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) As of your third Cunard voyage (on any ship) you get the 120 minute package free of charge as a Gold Cunard World Club member, plus 10 minutes if you buy the package on the first day. You buy the package normally and the cost is refunded. If both people in the cabin have status each of them is entitled to a separate package. For up to 12 nights I haven't had much of an issue staying within the 240 free minutes allocated for my wife and myself. The 120 minute package increases to 240 minutes when you attain Platinum (7 cruises/70 nights) and again to 480 minutes at Diamond. Rare Scrapnana Posted February 20, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Is in room wifi free of charge or do you have to have a internet time plan for the cruise? If you do not qualify for free e-mail (with the loyalty program) prices as of today are... 120 minutes for $47.95 240 minutes for $89.95 480 minutes for $167.95 (there are two more packages going up to 32 hours for just under $500) or pay as you go is 75 cents/minute
