Coolhand Posted February 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2014 Can anyone tell us about the Carnival Miracle(SPIRIT CLASS) cabins 7199 & 7203 extended Balconies as we have booked them for an Alaska Cruise for my family. I am wondering since they are recessed a little will we have good views of the forward and aft views or will the bridge/lifeboats create a blockage. Anyone stayed in these cabins and what were your experiences? Does the Miracle have 2.0 upgrades? Thank you in advance for your knowledge.

Your cabins are located a little forward of mid-ship, and are in the recessed area (which you already knew). Your views, while not as good as those in the 'bumped out' section, will be great. However, it will be a little obstructed both forward and aft due to other cabins blocking the extreme forward or aft view. The lifeboats are 3 decks below you, and while they won't impede your view outwards, you will have a little blockage looking straight down...nothing really worth worrying about though. As for the 2.0 upgrades, Miracle does not have any of them,l and continues to serve the traditional menu. Have an awesome cruise.
Coolhand Posted February 23, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted February 23, 2014 (edited) Thank you for your rapid response we were unable to obtain adjoining cabins in the bump out sections so we went higher and with the extended bacons but was worried we might miss whale sightings, etc.:):) Edited February 23, 2014 by Coolhand Balconies in lieu of bacon, darn auto fill. johndru Posted February 23, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2014 We were just on Miracle in January to Hawaii, and were in 7198 (port side) - same cabin, opposite side of the ship. The bump outs didn't bother us when looking towards the back of the ship, nor did the life boats below. We found this to be a great location, as it was just a short jaunt (maybe 5 cabins?) from the elevator lobby, and only 2 decks below the Lido deck. We used the stairs to get up to the buffet, and was really convenient to run up and refill our water bottles, or get a quick cup of coffee/tea. Hi Johndru, We are in the same cabin (7198) on Miracle's 5/20 sailing to Alaska. We won a free cruise from Carnival through the mail and picked this ship and itinerary. How was the room condition? Any pictures you can share? Thanks, Bob
shawne71 Posted February 24, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 24, 2014 Has anyone ever stayed in stateroom 4230? Was the connecting door an issue? Just curious about the noise level in rooms with connecting doors? We wouldn't want to spend our whole cruise whispering or laying in bed listening to our neighbor's every word.
