I am going to get as much as I can uploaded tonite but I'd like to ask everyone to please refrain from posting until I have all seven days so that you and anyone else can come to the top of the thread and see all seven days.

One day we ate in the steak house so although I do have the MDR menu, no pics for that but I did take steak house pictures.

We really enjoyed the new menu. Our dinners never lasted over 1.5 hours. Mostly we had very fast service but once it was slow and I mentioned it to the Maitre D and he said they had one whole cook top line down and seemed frustrated.

Just reiterating that you can still ask for old favorites and the cheese plate is still available.

The Maitre D questioned me about what I was doing and asked how I liked things. He said they wanted feedback as these menus are still in test mode. I told him a few things I didn't care for but I appreciated that he really seemed to want to know.

I am going to upload the menus instead of post them here as I don't think you can read them very well so if you open the attachment in a new window and move it to the side you can see it along with the pictures.

Again I am asking please don't post until I have at least a couple of days up. I will definitely have the whole week up by tomorrow.

On to the food.

I did not like the dessert at all. I am not a dessert person but the "sauce" tasted like warm boxed pudding and it had lumps.

This says St. Thomas but it was really Belize but seems they have the same menu for them both.

If we got repeats like shrimp cocktail I am not reposting. This is out of order.

I didn't know those attached thumbnails would be so tiny. I'll fix them or just do a post with them as jpgs. Sorry 3am time for bed.

This doesn't look very appetizing, and certainly not the level we had in 2011. You can just compare to the retro pictures:

I looked at the new menus and I agree they do not look appetizing. I tend to watch what I eat all the time and I will on the Liberty in April so hopefully I can find good choices.

I guess I'm in the minority. I like the way the menu looks in terms of presentation. All modern high end restaurants these days print out daily menus on a single page like this rather than the old booklet style.

We were on the Liberty in January and didn't like the new menus or much of the food items. I missed my favorite desserts that are no longer offered...but that's another thread! I'm hoping they go back to the old menus and food items. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?

I wasn't referring to the presentation of the menu myself, but the presentation of the food! Most of this looks like bar food, or meals just thrown together. Even if that's just what the OP went for, those type of meals still look significantly better beforehand.

MDR food was one of our favorite perks we really appreciated about Carnival, so this will weigh in our decision process. We still want to do the Mexican Riviera and San Juan repositioning cruise, and I'm sure others as well, but when there's itinerary competition I'm probably not going to go with Carnival.

First off the pics you have show the old way of which each plate has sides included on the plate. This caused lots of waste and is exactly what Carnival, I believe, is trying to get away from. Another thing is your pictures are taken further away so you get the ambiance of the table. I focused on the food. You also have pics of different types of items than we have, salads, etc. That's apples to oranges.

We liked it much better and will be disappointed if the Valor doesn't have it in December. The food to all 4 of us was higher quality and had a much more "home cooked" taste.

I say don't go into it thinking you aren't going to like it before you even taste it and if they don't show your favorites on the menu ask for it, just like the Maitre D said. Everyone likes something different, case in point I prefer the chicken pot pie because it has large chunks of chicken in it but other poster didn't because they wanted more veggies and less chicken.

I say if you don't like the food probably a good time to search for another cruise line you like better. We loved it so we'll go back.

There was never any waist when we ate, nor did you ever feel stuffed, it was just the right amount of food to make you full. Are you saying that there are no sides, or that everyone scoops from the same sides dishes? If it's the latter, how is there no waist?

It doesn't matter how far back the pictures were taken, you got some of the table too. If the food where an improvement it would look better close up, which is why restaurants don't take pictures of the table for their menus. The different pictures are not apples to oranges if you look for similar items to compare. Anyone comparing your prime rib in the new pictures to a salad in the old one...

You may genuinely like the new "home cooked" taste. We have Black Bear Diner and Cracker Barrel restaurants here, I like the home cooked taste too, and maybe I'll like the new menu more than I think I will. Though it's reasonable to expect that when you switch from "4 star restaurant" to "home cookin' mom n' pop restaurant", some people are going to be disappointed. You could never charge the same money on land, so it's going to seem like a drawback.

We don't need to search for another cruise line, we're remaining faithfully disloyal to them all ;)

Can you tell me what the first and last dishes are, and how they were?

I'm glad they kept the oysters rockerfeller, that was my favorite appetizer.

Thank you for sharing! I am really excited to try the new menu and will be disappointed if it isn't in the Valor in July :)

Well I had several more days of menus and pics to post but the negativity and sometimes just plain nastiness of many on here has made me say to myself "why even bother". So I won't. I have specialty restaurant pics also.

Don't be like children and say you don't like something even before you try it and if you have tried and don't like it time for a new cruise line. Leaves more room for us...

I really do wonder why I bother sometimes..Not to mention I requested no postings until I was finished...lol...go figure, even I didn't follow directions.

Easy now, no one has gone after you. Several people said that it didn't look appetizing, I said it looked like bar food, someone said they preferred specialty restaurants, while another tried it and didn't like it. When you start calling people names in response, such as children, are you sure you're not the aggressor?

Why? If you posted pictures from Buffalo Wild Wings (or a home cookin' restaurant if you will), and got mixed replies, you probably wouldn't give a rip. Because this food is tied to Carnival, and you identify with Carnival, it's hitting you personally.

For every customer lost a customer will be gained, that's how it always works...

I can understand your frustration, but I was just showing my husband your pictures and said FINALLY somebody is posting pictures of the food. As you can see, I am cruising in less than 3 weeks and would REALLY appreciate seeing more of the options.

Maybe you could just post all the pictures in one sitting so people won't comment in between.

Thanks for considering continuing.

Just Cruise Me,

I for one enjoyed your pictures and they made me hungry. I'm writing this at 11:45p CA time and at midnight, thanks to your pics making me hungry, I'm going to have myself a big midnight snack!:D Please don't stop posting your pictures...you have me drooling for more. Sly and the Family Stone said it best, "Different stokes for different folks!" Some people are just so opinionated they can't see anyone else's view. Please continue...this is your thread!:D Don't let the naysayers get you down!;)

I respectfully disagree, I feel that there are nicer ways to express yourself than some of the posts I read here. The OP is going out of her way to be helpful and then some posters just make rude comments. So if she gave some of the rude posters back some of what they gave her...good for her!;:p
