A travel newsletter I subscribe to sends me their "top 20" travel deals each week. Once or twice a deal on cruises had caught my eye but I still wasn't budging from my anti-cruise (the ship thing, not the missile thing) position. Last October I finally took the bait, did some investigation and almost impulsively, booked a 7 day, Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Celebrity Reflection.
