donsbabe Posted March 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2014 Our hotel that we are staying in the night before our cruise provides transportation to Port Everglades. We must arrange transportation after the cruise from Port Everglades to FLL. Any suggestions of transportation companies? Any idea of how much a taxi ride for two people would be? It's about a $15 ride.
donsbabe Posted March 16, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted March 16, 2014 Ok, so the port isn't far from the airport. Good to know. Thanks!
Rare markeb Posted March 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2014 You are practically at the airport. As stated, probably $15 for a cab, and just a few minutes to the terminal. Probably the easiest airport to cruise terminal transfer (or vice versa) in the world!
cruisegirl06 Posted March 16, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) Can anyone recommend a shuttle service/car service that provides car seats? We have two kiddos who are in car seats (that we are hoping not to bring), so a taxi isn't an option for us (unless we wind up with the seats). Thanks!! It is possible to walk from the ships in San Diego to and from the airport. A very nice walk, but if you have luggage, probably better to take a taxi. Most reputable car service/limo companies have car seats that they can provide. An example is: http://www.go-airportshuttle.com/executive-car-service Another option is to do a one way car rental. Budget will charge 26/day for 2 seats and you can get a car from their port location to FLL for about 30 for a full size car with certain codes. Any idea of how much a taxi ride for two people would be?We stayed at a hotel that had port transportation but took a cab anyway. They were doing drop offs at 2-3 different ships and only had one shuttle bus. I think the transportation offer was more of a marketing tool than it was a service. We are using http://www.johnscarservice.com for our trip in 3 weeks. They provide carseats at no extra cost.
