tbmrt Posted March 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2014 What types of fitness classes (free and for a fee) and other daytime activities are available on the Equinox? Thank you. Barbara
obnurse Posted March 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2014 Hi Barb, Zumba every day in the afternoon, the gym, the jogging track, and maybe other things I've forgotten. Organized activities not related to specific physical activities are all day long every day, including trivia, movies, music in multiple venues, the hot glass show, dance classes, and on and on. IMHO this ship does not disappoint :-)

jelayne Posted March 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2014 Spin classes, stretching, abs, etc in the fitness center. Lectures, officers vs guest games, dancing with the stripes. A ton of stuff to keep you busy.
jackdiamond Posted March 28, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 28, 2014 In addition to considerable anchillary exercises on our balcony, I would usually vigorously pool walk, and doing additional ancillary exersices in the Solarium Pool after about 15 minutes in the steam room. The pool walking and ancillary exercises would usually take about one to one and a half hours.
2Fltravelers Posted March 28, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2014 What types of fitness classes (free and for a fee) and other daytime activities are available on the Equinox? Thank you. Barbara In January there was also Yoga for a fee, early AM stretch classes for free and the usual spinning (fee), Zumba on the pool deck in the afternoon for free and what others have mentioned. Plus there are the dance classes in merengue, fox trot, ball room, waltz, line dancing, salsa.
CruisingGatorGirl Posted March 28, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 28, 2014 They have yoga classes for a fee. I think it was $12 or $15. No one ever shows up to them so I got a private lesson for the price of a group :D
Podie Posted March 30, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2014 Just off the Equinox...yoga and Pilates (mat) were $12 each. Zumba classes on the pool deck morning and afternoon. Free stretching classes. Gym was never crowded and machines were always available, but I preferred using the stairs everywhere I went and also doing a deck by deck workout walking the forward stairs, then walking to the aft stairs, then up to the next deck, etc.

Of course, I eat and drink more on the ship than I do at home!!!
