Reina del Mar Posted April 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Just starting to think of packing for our Navigator of Seas cruise on April 13th. The ports are Falmouth, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Please can anyone who is on board right now, or who lives in the Galveston area give us any idea of local weather conditions ? Not sure whether we would need to bring jackets or kagools ...we are flying from UK so are thinking of thin jackets...helpful suggestions please. Many thanks
Galveston Cruiser Posted April 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2014 80F yesterday, 60F this morning! A light jacket should be adequate as weather is warming up steadily now. This week is to see some lower temps in the evening, but only this week. Enjoy your cruise and safe travels.
Reina del Mar Posted April 5, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Thank you...had seen posts about rain, fog etc and was thinking we should have booked out of FLL as for previous trips. We've not needed so much as a sweater once out of Heathrow previously, but doubts were setting in. Thanks again.

Reina del Mar Posted April 5, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Book Mark this site: http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USTX0499 Thank you...had already looked at that but often find longer range forecasts are not always accurate...thought it would be helpful to have opinions from people who are actually there. Thanks anyway.
Stevesan Posted April 6, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 6, 2014 (edited) Thank you...had already looked at that but often find longer range forecasts are not always accurate...thought it would be helpful to have opinions from people who are actually there. Thanks anyway. I've lived in this region 40 years. Still can't forecast the weather better than professional meteorologists, who by the way, are locals. Edited April 6, 2014 by Stevesan
