parking for cruise departing from New Orleans

We are sailing on the Carnival Dream in October out of New Orleans. Since this ship has just come to New Orleans, has new parking options opened up besides parking at the NO dock, or do more hotels offer park and stay packages?

While the Gulf Coast board has some posts about NO, the NO board is very specific to the city and cruises from there.;)
