Sarah@Sea Posted April 28, 2014 #26 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Carnival's cream of mushroom soup. I've never had any that's any better than theirs. I look forward to it every time I cruise Carnival. That is some GOOD soup!
redefinition Posted April 28, 2014 #27 Share Posted April 28, 2014 They have anchovies in them, right? Something has always tasted off to me.
izmeeh Posted April 28, 2014 #28 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Caesar salad on Carnival was good until I tried NCL's Ceasar salad. I know lots of people hate it, but I like the new Carnival's pizza - extra pepperoni and mushroom. :)
kybluecruiser Posted April 28, 2014 #29 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Agree with they ruined land vacations for me lol i never want to take a land vacation again except for maybe a weekend getaway.
cruise_girl2002 Posted April 28, 2014 #30 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Caesar salads for me. I used to love a good Caesar, but now only Carnival's will do! What's something you love better on a cruise than anywhere else? Agree! love carnivals Caesar salads. I have tried them at restaurants, but carnivals dressing is by far the best
Whimsy88 Posted April 28, 2014 #31 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Chilled and fruit soups and WCMC! And the ability to sit back and relax - kids are engaged all day and meals are all prepared, served and cleaned up by someone else!:)
Sparky2 Posted April 28, 2014 #32 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Yes, I have yet to eat a better Caesar salad. I order one every night in the dining room. Unfortunately, I can't stand the anchovy taste in them. I love Caesar Salads from Red Lobster because they don't have anchovies in their dressing. silvercrikhix Posted April 28, 2014 #33 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Carnival ruined......... Sparky2 Posted April 28, 2014 #34 Share Posted April 28, 2014 They have anchovies in them, right? Something has always tasted off to me. Yes, they do have anchovies in them, and that is why I don't care for it on the cruiseship.
dljones Posted April 28, 2014 #35 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Carnival's cream of mushroom soup. I've never had any that's any better than theirs. I look forward to it every time I cruise Carnival. dljones Posted April 28, 2014 #36 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Yes, they do have anchovies in them, and that is why I don't care for it on the cruiseship. Bingo, it's the anchovies that make it authentic. This recipe is online too.
jimbri Posted April 28, 2014 #37 Share Posted April 28, 2014 I don't like anchovies either. I wonder if I can get the salad without them?
bdever Posted April 28, 2014 #38 Share Posted April 28, 2014 For me it is simply the Eggs Benedict for breakfast ;) It doesn't seem like much but there is something about having them served to me in a dinning room that makes me jump out of bed early in the mornings on the cruise. It makes my WHOLE day when cruising. Corny but true
land64shark Posted April 29, 2014 #39 Share Posted April 29, 2014 On my first Carnival cruise on the Fascination I absolutely loved the Ceasars salads. Lately on other Carnival ships they are waaaaayyyy to fishy for me. A little anchovy is fine but lately they taste like nasty old fish. Blech !!! Totally Agree! I keep ordering them hoping for it to be less fishy. Occasionally it is, but mostly there's too much anchovy and it ruins it for me.:(
Kittybork Posted April 29, 2014 #40 Share Posted April 29, 2014 Unfortunately, I can't stand the anchovy taste in them. I love Caesar Salads from Red Lobster because they don't have anchovies in their dressing. That's what I tasted! I thought the dressing picked up a fish taste in the fridge! No wonder I didn't like it.

IPlayWithString Posted April 29, 2014 #42 Share Posted April 29, 2014 I agree!! Me too. We could spend $3000+ on one land vacation (we're partial to theme parks) or spend around the same amount on TWO cruises. Hmm...:confused:ONE vacation a year or two?:pI think I'll take two please!:D

grumpyjr88 Posted April 30, 2014 #46 Share Posted April 30, 2014 Add me to the list of cold fruit soup lovers. I don't even bother ordering them on land anymore because I will just be disappointed. I also really love the mac and cheese. Yumbolie! Sent from my SGH-T989 using Forums mobile app

bvhboat Posted April 30, 2014 #50 Share Posted April 30, 2014 I agree Carnivals Caesar salad is very good. But back in 2000 on Celebrity we had a Caesar salad prepared table side. I don't remember it tasting any better but it sure was cool having it prepared right at our table.
