Valor formal nights?

Carnival doesn't have formal nights, only "cruise elegant" nights where you're encouraged to dress at least somewhat formally.

I was on the Valor in March and the elegant nights were on Tuesday (sea day) and Thursday (St. Lucia).

We were on Valor April 20th, and this was the most dressed us cruise we have been on for Elegant night. LOTS of people were dressed up nightly. But elegant night was definitely more formal than on other ships I have been on. Bring the fancy duds.

We tend to dress up a little, not a tux and gown

I'm not sure if it's because we started cruising in the 80's when dinner was a event or I wear a company provided uniform everyday so it's a nice change from the ordinary for us.

I can tell you one thing though, Even though we dress up what anybody else where's has NO effect on my cruise or vacation. I know I work hard to earn my vacation and refuse to let the little things mess with that.
