Panda3 Posted May 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2014 Just got off the Oasis yesterday. On day 1 and 2 no limes. On day 3, after St. Thomas, Limes suddenly appeared for the rest of the cruise. According to a bartender they found a supplier in Mexico. Just wanted to share everyone. Oh..and mint is back too for your mojitos. Some folks were saying mint was in shortage. Rare A&L_Ont Posted May 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) Glad to hear they had limes. It is interesting that you got them in St Thomas. I would never guessed that it would be easier to get them there than on the mainland. Edited May 12, 2014 by A&L_Ont

I bet they grow on St. Thomas and places other than Mexico. :)

LS6Caddy Posted May 12, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2014 The CD even joked during the Quest (when asking for fruit) how it was good to see limes for the first time in a month.

DKNYC Posted May 12, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 12, 2014 I just don't get it? Limes don't grow in Florida??? Lol Sent from my iPhone using Forums I'd be willing to guess that the Limes in Florida were probably too expensive.
silvermcs Posted May 12, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 12, 2014 I'm bringing limes with me just in case. Years ago when DW and I were dating, we would go to Mexico on vacation and buy champagne in duty free on the way down. We would sell it to the local restaurants and make enough for our spending money for the whole trip. Times have changed but we are bringing limes just in case. Should we bring a few cans of escargot???
