MLB1828 Posted September 18, 2014 #26 Share Posted September 18, 2014 Does anyone know if they require the curtains to be closed at night in these cabins like the forward ov cabins below with portholes? We were in 1856 on the 8/31 sailing, if there was a requirement for keeping them closed, no one told us. Also, you couldn't actually see anything out the windows at night, but people on the peekaboo bridge could see in, so we mostly kept them closed at night anyway ;) I like to be in the aft part of the ship as well. Were there massive differences in motion being up that high in the front? -RP27 There was A LOT of "shuddering" although to be fair, you could also feel this in the casino which is closer to the middle of the ship and on deck 4. We returned from dinner one night and our towel animal bunny had shaking ears from the shuddering. I didn't notice any increased swaying sensation. Having said that, the room was awesome, and I would totally do it again if I could get another great deal on it. We had originally booked a promenade view and upgraded for very little to this room instead.
bb24 Posted September 19, 2014 #27 Share Posted September 19, 2014 We are booked in 1854 (Family panoramic) in January! The pics posted are our exact cabin! We have had FOV rooms before and have loved the extra room, but these are almost double the size of those!! Having an extra 1/2 bath will make things so much easier too. If anyone is sailing soon in this cabin, I would love to see pics of the bathrooms and an idea of where they are in the room, especially the 1/2 bath! websiteauthor Posted September 25, 2014 #28 Share Posted September 25, 2014 Just got back from our cruise - the panoramic ocean view room is WONDERFUL! We were in cabin 1816 - here are a couple pix: A view from the doorway The bed and window Another of the bed and window. This really shows how big that window is! The view you wake up to each morning Here's the view from the window - virtually no obstructions! This shows where Cabin #1816 was located. There are more pix of the cabin (shelves, bathroom, etc.) at familytravelphotos.com
Ladysilver Posted September 25, 2014 #29 Share Posted September 25, 2014 Thanks for posting your pictures! I love the those cabins and would stay there in a heartbeat. :D
websiteauthor Posted September 26, 2014 #30 Share Posted September 26, 2014 We got very lucky with this room. When we booked the cruise we chose ocean view and let RCI assign us whatever room they wanted. We ended up with this. I think these new rooms are not well known yet so they weren't filling up. As more people post photos of the ocean panoramics, I'm betting they will become extremely popular.
Fat Paul Posted September 26, 2014 #31 Share Posted September 26, 2014 We were on the Navigator in early June. We spoke with someone who had one of the panoramic rooms. She said that the cabin was great and that she would not hesitate to book one again.

CruzinSuz Posted October 6, 2014 #35 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Haven't been a good responder to this thread.... Just got off NV today, did a Virtual Balcony, which was a different experience, so we've done, Panoramic, D2's E2's, JS's, regular Interiors and now the VB We'l be back to a balcony next trip...just wanted to check the VB out. The panoramic oceanview is fabulous...as I said earlier, just not the choice location that we like. The movement on the ship was just fine...however, we did go in February and it was foggy, so the fog horn played all night long..other than winter, I'd give these cabins a go, depending on the price differential. They're larger, the bathrooms are different, the TV's are bigger (even though the lousy TV programming remains the same:mad:) I think the Quantam will get the same style cabin...they're beautiful IMHO. Spa below, feels like a personal sunning area right out the door. Go for it!

robtulipe Posted February 22, 2015 #42 Share Posted February 22, 2015 (edited) Any pictures of the bathrooms in family panoramic ocean view? First shot is the 3 piece bathroom in PF 1864 on Navigator which was like the bathroom with shower we had in our P2. Second shot is the 2 piece powder room. Sunkissed Mommy Posted April 3, 2015 #44 Share Posted April 3, 2015 I am holding one of the Family Panoramic rooms (1854) for a 9-night Southern Caribbean in 2017 (holy moly, am I really booking something 2 years out?!?!?) The room looks amazing. I have a 2 year old now and may end up with another kid by then so we want the space, ;)
Merlin1128 Posted April 6, 2015 #45 Share Posted April 6, 2015 Hi looking at booking a panoramic ocean view on explorer after refit. I have seen some of the photos from navigator which has helped greatly. Looking at some pics there appears to be a sun deck above. can anyone give me an idea of noise from either above or fro the rest of the deck. Many thanks

I have seen some of the photos from navigator which has helped greatly. Looking at some pics there appears to be a sun deck above. can anyone give me an idea of noise from either above or fro the rest of the deck. Many thanks We didn't find it noisy in our P2 cabin for our B2B two weeks on Navigator last January. There wasn't much traffic on the sun deck above our cabin during the day and none at all once it was dark out. Also spa area in the center there wasn't noisy. robtulipe Posted April 7, 2015 #48 Share Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) Can you fit four adults in this room comfortably, and how does the layout work? Yes, four will fit in P1 and P2 cabins which have a double sofa bed but I'm not sure about being it being comfortable with four in a P2 cabin. Larger P1 cabin with separate living room and bedroom areas would be better for four. Panoramic Family cabins, PF, 1854 shown below, are very large and have two bathrooms, a two and three piece, a separate room with double bunks as well as a sofa bed and a overhead Pullman bed. This is P1 cabin 1864 on Navigator. Edited April 7, 2015 by robtulipe
robtulipe Posted April 7, 2015 #49 Share Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) Here is P2 cabin 1860 which is one of the larger cabins in that category. Here is the PF cabin bunk bed room in the correct upright position. Sorry about the above side ways shot.
