How much does your suitcase usually weigh

50 lbs. and I don't bring many shoes. Some times I have to take some things out.

I take only what I can carry myself, because sooner or later I find myself in a position where I must, usually when I'm boarding the local bus to the train station/airport. Weakling that I am, the luggage weight usually tops off in the low to mid-twenties for the 20-22" roller. I cram the 16-18" duffel bag with another 8 pounds or so as a carryon.

We have a packing rule that if you pack it you lug it, so rolling garment bag around 30 lbs, rick steves carry on about 15 because I have to be able to stow it myself. If we are doing alot of pre cruise travel it is one garment bag for the two of us. We find that we don't need much.
