asj410 Posted June 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Wasn't having much luck finding any recent info on wi-fi packages by searching the forums, and I didn't see any specific info on Royal Caribbean's site. Does anyone know what the available wi-fi packages are aboard Allure of the Seas? My g/f and I will be spending next week aboard her, and it looks like she will need to have wi-fi to take care of work that can't be put off. I did see something saying that packages start around $35 and go up to $150 for 500 minutes. Is this still accurate? Are there any unlimited packages? Thanks for the help! Allure has unlimited packages now. One that I know of costs around $190 for the week for one device at a time.
Jamjam44 Posted June 2, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Wifi on the Allure was $190 for unlimited internet. You can log in from any device, but only 1 device can use it at any time. There was another package for $250, I think, that allowed for 2 devices to use the service at the same time. iMessage worked, however there was a problem sending images. Also, FaceTime did not work since it uses more bandwidth. However, I was told that Skype worked, but I didn't have that setup on my iPhone/iPad, so I can't say for sure. Email was ok. Hope that helps.

kunta67 Posted June 3, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 3, 2014 You can definitely change devices but make sure after you're done go to logoff.com and you'll be fine. Speeds we're similar to a 4G mobile card.
CRUISEFAN0001 Posted June 3, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 3, 2014 One added note of interest... Allure and Oasis are scheduled to get the new high-speed Internet/WIFI service some time in August 2014. The performance/speed levels should be exponentially faster once this is in place.
asj410 Posted June 3, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted June 3, 2014 Thank you very much for all of the info, everyone! I really appreciate it! Kind of a bummer to hear the high-speed wi-fi mods for the Allure are coming after our cruise, but hopefully my g/f will be able to do whatever work she needs to do regardless. FLACRUISER99 Posted June 3, 2014 #11 Share Posted June 3, 2014 Yikes, $190 - $250 a week would be enough for me not to use it!
