flahagan Posted June 5, 2014 #26 Share Posted June 5, 2014 We did this cruise on another line some years ago in an inside cabin and it remains one of our favorite cruises. We've sailed in the Med, done transatlantics, sailed to/from Hawaii, and throughout the Carib. in balconies, OV's and insides. We're from Florida and we welcomed the cooler temps and the relaxed vibe of this cruise. Loved all the lighthouses! In fact, we were just talking this AM that we'd like to do a repeat of this cruise. You'll love it, no matter what category cabin you choose.
NOSaints1 Posted June 5, 2014 Author #27 Share Posted June 5, 2014 How's the ship? What's good and what's bad about it? What about hurricane season? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Miller_KC Posted June 5, 2014 #28 Share Posted June 5, 2014 We did the 7 days on the Glory Sept 21 in 2013. It was just a little early for the fall foliage but we did see a little turning as we went further north. It was a great trip. Portland is beautiful and the Titanic grave sites are very moving. The people of St John and Halifax were very friendly. The coast was a bit chilly when we went out to see light houses and we didn't use the balcony as much as on the warm weather cruises. A couple of long sleeve shirts and a light jacket was all we needed. It wasn't the Splendor but there was plenty to do. In the past I have enjoyed the Splendor so I don't think you will be board. If you want to see the fall colors, try early October.
snc_cam Posted June 5, 2014 #29 Share Posted June 5, 2014 It is still hurricane season but for the most part, hurricanes really don't get into this area, mostly staying in the Caribbean. The occasional one does head north being pulled by the Gulfstream. One of the challenges of cruising in the Fall.

NOSaints1 Posted June 6, 2014 Author #31 Share Posted June 6, 2014 Just curious is it better to book a spa cabin or regular cabin? I'm also wondering about cruise cash and how it works? Are the pools open and are they heated? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
