labadee help please

Hello,can anyone tell me if you need to guard against maleria when going to labadee on a cruise ship for one day.

You don't have to worry about it. They do extensive spraying. That being said, it's not impossible to get it, it's just a super low probability.

Thank you for your reply.We are leaving on Sunday and it didn't cross my mind we might need to.Too late now anyway but just wanted to know if other people did take anything.

You will be there when the mosquitos are not active....you'll leave before dusk. No worries!

Been to Labade 4 times, and the only thing that "bugged" us (two visits ago) were those itsy bitsy sand fleas (for a better naming of them). Always took bug repellent (deep woods), put it on, and no problem.

 

Always sail with it now, and put it on if needed.

 

Never saw mosquitos, to hot and dry conditions when we get there.

I've been to Labadee 5 times and have never seen a single bug.

I loved Labadee. I didn't see a single bug either. I rented a cabana and felt like it was worth every cent we spent. Would have loved to have skipped San Juan and had more time in Labadee. By the time you get off the ship and settle it is after ten and then have to leave around 3.
