Checking Invoice

Recommended Posts

Just checked my invoice from a booking made last week. It is an 8 day trip on Grandeur using an "old" future cruise certificate. Booked as a solo and there is a $206 CAS discount -- no BOGOHO. My OBC is listed as $75. Shouldn't it be $150 using an old certificate? Thought I would ask before waiting on the RCI phone line. Thanks.

Pre 3/2014 OBC From Booking On Board:

$25 for sailings of 3-5 nights

$100 for sailings of 6-9 nights

$150 for sailings of 10-14 nights

$200 for sailings of 15+ nights

Sounds like they pro-rated the $100 OBC because you didn't pay 200% single supplement.

Thanks. So I was wrong about the $150 but why would it be $75 OBC? Mistake?

I probably added the last line of my post above after you read it. I'm guessing that you paid a 150% single supplement, so they pro-rated the OBC.

Funny you should mention this.

I had a next-cruise certificate purchased in January 2013.

Used it on a cruise last week, which I booked after final payment, so the whole thing was just a whirl on the phone and I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be getting.

I got $100 on one of my two cabins, and then spent the whole cruise trying to get the other $100 on the other cabin.

The folks on board agreed I was entitled to it, but the folks back on land told them that was a "limited time offer" and I was entitled to $50 per cabin and they'd put it together on one of the cabins.

I still think I was ripped off.

AND I didn't get credit for the $100 deposit I paid when I bought the next cruise certificate.
