Rare chrismch Posted June 14, 2014 #26 Share Posted June 14, 2014 From the ship it's 2 miles to the trailhead? That's before you even start the hike and then do the 2 miles back. Is there any transit to get to the start of the trailhead?
Putterdude Posted June 14, 2014 #27 Share Posted June 14, 2014 For the list: An all day transit pass in Vancouver costs $9.75 ($7.50 if over 65) and includes all transit buses, SkyTrain, Canada Line, at the SeaBus.
mlkmnsgrl Posted June 15, 2014 Author #28 Share Posted June 15, 2014 Thank you all! Our flight is boarding and we're thrilled to be headed north to have fun without breaking the bank. Sent from my SCH-S738C using Tapatalk
Rare chrismch Posted June 16, 2014 #29 Share Posted June 16, 2014 Where can you buy the pass? Where can you find the routes? We'll be there for a day and after we drop our bags at the hotel, this might make sense for us.
Putterdude Posted June 16, 2014 #30 Share Posted June 16, 2014 All day passes may be purchased at many ticket vending machines at SkyTrain stations including the Canada Line station at YVR. The are many merchants that sell them as well including Pharmasave and the 7-11 at YVR. oldplayer532 Posted June 20, 2014 #33 Share Posted June 20, 2014 Hello repeat and budget Alaska cruise experts! Below I'm listing a bunch of the ports that are frequented. I need help coming up with the top 3 or 4 things to do in each port that cost about $10 or less. Obviously, window shopping is a given unless there are any specific stores that are especially fun to visit. Juneau MGT shuttle one way to Mendenhall, bus back Visitor Center at the Glacier St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Nativity Juneau Douglas City Museum? Skagway Jewell Gardens ($12.50/pp) Klondike Gold rush museum Ketchikan Married Man Trail Creek Street Salmon shuttle bus around town Bus to Totem Bight State Park Victoria Seattle Pier 66 (49?...mixing up San Fran, I think) thank you very much for your post! We are in these ports on Celebrity Solstice and in Juneau from 1:30 -10pm, how long does it take to do all activities you mention there and in Ketchikan? Rare sprint180 Posted June 20, 2014 #34 Share Posted June 20, 2014 (edited) Didn't read them all as I am in a hurry but have you thought of geocaching? It is a blast and in many towns there are caches. http://www.geocaching.com That is what we are doing in July when we go. Doesn't cost anything and usually there are caches at the highlights of the town. Edited June 20, 2014 by sprint180
