St Louis Cardinals Posted June 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2014 Anybody ever able to get an NCL promo on top of a CAS rate?…like the 9 month early book OBC or the American Express OBC...
TravelDiva88 Posted June 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2014 No. They're run by two totally different entities of the same company.
Daghis Posted June 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2014 I did, although I did end up canceling that cruise. I had received a "complimentary" NCL cruise from my local casino. We booked Breakaway for Thanksgiving. NCL was running a $100 onboard credit promotion at the time, and I was surprised that CAS gave that to us as well (as confirmed by the amenity confirmation that we received). I don't know why that promotion would have been permitted with a comped cruise, and I certainly wasn't expecting it, but it was a nice surprise. kenlyn Posted June 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2014 I have wondered the same thing. I recently booked a free casino cruise ( land based promo ) and also was given an onboard credit of 50.00 from dash sale. Anyone else out there know the actual rules? Fishbait17 Posted June 18, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 18, 2014 (edited) With me it depends on how you book it. For example, on my last GV sailing, I was comped a mini suite, but priced it both with the comp and just using the 20% CAS discount. The discount was compatible with the $300 suite OBC and with a Latitudes OBC, the comp was not. The prices came out very similar, so I simply used the discount. So, if you're looking at a significant upgraded cabin, try pricing it both ways and take OBCs into account. Most comps are not compatible with most OBC's in my experience, a few are but most not.
