Booked to do canal cruise in late March of 2015 from FLL to San Diego. Any thing special to see besides the canal?

Cartagena - Dora's tours - ask for Mercedes as a guide! She was great.

Guatemala - we took the bus provided by the cruise line up to Antigua; local guides are waiting for you to get off the bus! They charge $10/person - nice easy day - our guide was Sergio and he knew everyone in town, I think!

Puerta Vallarta - Vallarta Eats Food Tour - absolutely fantastic! A walking tour of Old Town, with stops at ten eateries - street vendors, small restaurants - places you might not try on your own. Small group [we had 5 people] with a guide - top rated by Trip Advisor [Watch out for Perluza, the cat! She loves handouts, even when they are not voluntary!]

 

We did the same itinerary on Celebrity Millennium last fall; fantastic trip! Have fun!
