FloridaMommyof3 Posted July 8, 2014 #26 Share Posted July 8, 2014 The length of the meal wasn't our issue at all - the kids just weren't fond of the food. If I went again on a cruise by myself or with another adult, I might try it again, but not with the boys.
nurseamanda Posted July 8, 2014 #27 Share Posted July 8, 2014 I'll have to try it out on my cruise in September. Seems the reviews are positive overall Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Msbabynurse Posted July 8, 2014 #28 Share Posted July 8, 2014 I would have sent the steaks back if they were fatty as you say. What cut did you order? I would agree with you that the Steakhouse really isn't for kids younger than 15 or 16, it's too long of a meal. I have only one encounter with the steakhouse, which was on the Conquest. Not sure if all of the steakhouses across the fleet do it this way, or if they have changed the way they do things, but hey brought a selection of meats and steak cuts to our table for us to choose from. I actually selected my own steak. And I was not disappointed. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Disconnections Posted July 8, 2014 #29 Share Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) We can do the steakhouse in 2 hours. Used to be 30 minutes longer than the MDR. Now it's almost the same with the slowed down service. And if a kid can sit for a 2 1/2 hour movie, they can sit for a dinner. It never feels like 2 hours. If a kid can wait in line for 5 hours to meet Anna and Elsa, they can sit two hours for dinner. Edited July 8, 2014 by Disconnections
tip.n.ring Posted July 8, 2014 #30 Share Posted July 8, 2014 We are scheduled for sail on the Legend in 20 days. :) This will be our 3rd cruise and we have not eaten at the Steak House. My guys are STEAK LOVERS! Is it really as good as they say for the extra money? We did the Golden Fleece on the Legend a few years back. We opted, and our CC group that went as well, to sit at the tables that "surround the outside" of the steakhouse on deck 12. The steakhouse is two stories and the upper and outside tables do have a deck next to the outside where you can see strolling guests, but the tinting on the windows makes it very hard for them to look inside the restaurant. The sunset was AWESOME with dinner. We would not have been able to observe that from the "main lower part". Wish you the best cruise ever! Cheers! :D
