Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted July 19, 2014 #76 Share Posted July 19, 2014 We had to wait for our cabins on the Royal Princess last fall. I think it does happen occasionally, depending on noro clean up and inspections and such.
dchip Posted July 19, 2014 #77 Share Posted July 19, 2014 Happiness is many things but a favorite is leaving from San Francisco. We live in the East Bay and there is nothing like seeing the first glimpse of the ship as we drive across the Bay Bridge. Happiness is also knowing we will be doing that exact trip in 74 days!!! :D Cheers, Denise
Oh2B@C Posted July 19, 2014 #78 Share Posted July 19, 2014 That first, and second, Tiramisu in a glass from Int'l Café The prime rib on Day 1 that covers my entire plate Fettuccine Alfredo, appy size Lounging on the Promenade Deck first thing in the morning Lounging on the Promenade Deck last thing in the evening My quiet secret corner (sorry, it's a secret;)) The end of the Wake Show:) The hearty "hellos" and smiles from every crew member you pass by Midnight hot-tubbing by the Lotus Pool When the guy who grunts and bangs the weights in the fitness center finally leaves Fish and Chips with a Bass Ale at the Pub Lunch Watching old episodes of The Love Boat and laughing at how I ever could have been so ga-ga for Julie:o Going through a fresh new Princess Patter every night Being greeted by name by the CD staff after a few days Wait... was I supposed to pick just one??? lovevacadays Posted July 19, 2014 #79 Share Posted July 19, 2014 Hmmm, when we went on the Sapphire last August we had to wait until 1 PM. We boarded around 11:30. Maybe different ships have different policies, but I distinctly recall having to head to the Horizon court to wait for the rooms to be ready. I've sailed the Sapphire several times and always could go straight to my cabin. That is typical of Princess so I would imagine there was something out of the ordinary going on with your cruise. No, you don't just have to pick one. I love them all. I also love going through the Patter and marking off what I want to do the next day.

Thrak Posted July 21, 2014 #84 Share Posted July 21, 2014 Pillow Chocolates!!!!!!! After its melted? My disabled son returned to his cabin late one night after spending several hours in Skywalkers with some folks he met onboard. Apparently he was "too tired" (more likely too inebriated) to bother undressing so he just flopped across the bed. The next morning he discovered that he had slept on top of the chocolates. Ewwwwww... Not pretty.
