New Year's on the ship

I will be joining you on this trip with my mom to celebrate my 40th B Day on 1/1.

If anyone has the funtimes for the Miracle New Years sailing from last year or the year before can you post them?

I understand that one of the formal nights gets moved to 12/31 on this cruise but do both formal nights shift or just one?

I also understand that there is a balloon drop in the Atrium and a deck party on Lido for the night of 12/31 but do both happen simultaneously?

I also heard that there are different parties held all over the ship on 12/31 at different venues like the night club, comedy club, piano bar, etc. But do these parties occur simultaneously as well?

is the dining schedule changed for 12/31? Does the schedule for other itinerary events also change on 12/31?

What about other days of the trip? Do the schedules for those days change as well?

On our last 2 New Years cruises (going on Pride this NYE), nothing in the way of schedules changed but, it's one big party that night. You start with hats and noise makers at dinner and go from there. Large deck party on Lido for the count down with free champagne flowing everywhere. Same time parties are going on in most venues of the ship. Even the crew joins in with the party which is cool and they close the casino for about a half hour so those folks can join the fun. To us it's the best cruise. There's nothing like being at a party in the middle of the black ocean with 3-4 thousand friends!! Enjoy yourself!!!

I agree, we were on the Splendor for NYE last year and the formal night didn't fall on NYE and they didn't change it. They did the ballon drop in the atrium and you put your room number on it and a whopping one or two balloons chosen got a bottle of champagne. They did a early morning special breakfast in the buffet which was nice.

I believe the menu in the dining room was normal that night too since they didn't alter the schedule.

It was a very strange night. Half the ship dressed up and the other half didn't. You had suits/dresses alongside t-shirts/shorts/flops at the deck party around the pools. It was a nice party, but a very strange vibe due to the clashing attire. They switched from a band to a DJ throughout the night and showed the ball drop on the big screen. Everyone was saying that they should have just switched it to a elegant night since most people would have been fine getting dressed up for NYE if they had requested it.

Have a great time! There is nothing better than just needing to find your way back to the room on NYE!
