Help me plan day in Freeport

I will be in Freeport on a Sunday in August from 8-5. I have done a lot of cruises, but have never stopped here. Traveling will be myself, DD13, DS8, and my husband. I like to find things to do away from most of the crowd. My family loves to snorkel, except me..I don't swim. I would love to visit gold rock beach. It looks like low tide is around 2pm that day. I had also considered deadmans reef also. I love a nice beach, and am concerned about the beach there. I also wouldn't mind squeezing in shopping too. Let me know your suggestions. Thanks!

When I was there we took a van...I think it was $5 per person to Port Lucaya (not sure of spelling) might have been called Lucaya Marketplace. Lots of shops, bars, and whatnot. There is a free beach there and right down from the free beach there is a beautiful resort where we got a day pass for $20 a person. Use of private beach and facilities.
