Gramjude Posted August 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Do you think it is worth the cost to a suite upgrade on Navigator of the Seas.

Clarea Posted August 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Do you think it is worth the cost to a suite upgrade on Navigator of the Seas. What is the total cost to upgrade, what month are you cruising, what are the stateroom categories (current and potential) involved?
Gramjude Posted August 1, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted August 1, 2014 The amount of the up grade is about $300.00. We will be traveling in November. I don't know what the difference is between a balcony and a suite.
bethco Posted August 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Is it a Suite (Grand, Owner's, Family etc) or is it a Junior Suite? There is a big difference in the perks of a Jr Suite and one of the others.

39august Posted August 1, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 1, 2014 If it is $300 total to upgrade and if that is for a Grand Suite, not a Jr. Suite, I would take it in a flash. Apparently you are currently booked in a balcony cabin. The Grand suite is about double the size, has a large bathroom with tub and shower, a large balcony and comes with a number of perks which can be seen on the RCI web site. Among those perks is a free cocktail "hour" in the Concierge Lounge.
heyabbott Posted August 1, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Take it. $300 for a balcony to a JS is even worth it. Our bathroom at home is as big or bigger than a balcony cabin. The suite perks don't interest us that much and the JS is a very nice size. The GS from JS is worth it if you think the non cabin perks are worth it. The free drinks, snacks and elite lounges wouldn't get that much use from us. Our routine ;) doesn't leave much time before the 8 or 8:30 dinner seating. Sky rockets in flight... jonbgd Posted August 1, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 1, 2014 $300 total to go to any suite, including a JS, is worth it for us Thats about $20pp a day If it is for a GTY, you might get a one of the better suites Ive been wanting to do the same thing, for our upcoming Nav cruise. Right now its about twice the price, that we paid for the cruise, for us to upgrade  BTW the cocktail hours on the Nav are 430p -8pm
George C Posted August 1, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I agree with taking it if it was a GS close call if it is a JS, GS has all the perks, but JS is a nice cabin with a walk in closet but no real perks
CT Sean Posted August 1, 2014 #12 Share Posted August 1, 2014 You'd at least get double C&A points if going to a JS.

gerif Posted August 1, 2014 #15 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I'd still take it even if it is only a JS - we love those cabins.
