? Elite Status

We are new to celebrity and will be taking our first cruise in September. We are in a C3 on Deck 10 on the Silhouette. We have been given Elite status and access to the concierge lounge. I can not find the concierge lounge on the deck plans - can you tell me what floor that is located on? Is it equivalent to the Neptune Lounge on HAL (continential breakfast, snacks)? Also, what other benefits does "Elite" status provide, besides one free bag of laundry (which I am very grateful for)? Thank you for your help.

Okay, I'm confused.

How would a first time Celebrity passenger get Elite status?

There is no dedicated Concierge Lounge.

There will e a continental breakfast and an evening cocktail party, the location will vary depending on how many Elite and Elite + members are on board.

If you are .diamond or above on Royal you will be given a courtesy enrollment at Elite level but it isn't automatic, you must call Captains Club and give them your C&A number

I was told that because we are switching from HAL it is a one time gift. Wish we would get to keep it, but it is only for this cruise. Very nice gesture on the part of the cruise line and could help us become permanent travelers. We always booked Neptune Suites with HAL.

Have to ask who told you that you would be Elite? The same party who told you that there is a Concierge Lounge? They may not be giving you accurate information.

The Celebrity Rep when I called to ask questions about printing out luggage tags, which is what you do on HAL. She told me that I would be sent the luggage tags and by the way did I know I was being given elite status. Also confirmed this with TA. It is just for this cruise, which is a real nice gesture.

There was a thread about this a few months ago. It is a marketing strategy (and a good one I think) that occasionally gives a new X customer a taste of the Elite perks for their first time sailing with Celebrity. Usually they are coming from another cruise line. It probably is arranged through their TA

To the OP! Welcome to Celebrity. You will get all the information regarding Elite perks in your stateroom and the will include internet minutes etc. Best thing to do is go to Celebrity's website and check out the benefits under Captain's Club

Welcome to Celebrity. I have heard of people getting Elite status before, on their first cruise with Celebrity. It's a nice touch.

Here are some of the perks:

Exclusive Captain's Club Celebration event

Complimentary pressing of 2 garment items

One complimentary bag of laundry (wash, dry, fold)

Complimentary dry cleaning of 1 garment item

90 complimentary Internet minutes (no purchase necessary - can be redeemed as is or applied towards a larger internet package)

Access to the Captain's Club Lounge for daily coffeehouse style breakfast and evening social hour, 5 - 7.

Breakfast is often held in one of the Sp restaurants' dining rooms. With the cocktail hour, it depends on the number of Elites where it will be held. HTH.

I agree, this is a great marketing strategy. Hopefully Celebrity will garner new customers by showing them what the future could hold for them, if they were to move over to Celebrity.

Celebrity does not have a "Conceirge Lounge" so whoever gave out

that information is incorrect. Michael's Club is a dedicated lounge for

Suite Passengers and Zenith members (those are the highest level of

Capt's Club).....Elite and Elite Plus are not permitted in Michael's.

As for being made Elite for your first cruise, I know a few years ago

Celebrity had some sort of marketing plan for giving new guests that

perk.

The Elite Cocktail Hour and other Elite perks are listed in your cabin.

We are elite and the three perks we like best are the two free bags of laundry, the 90 free minutes EACH of free internet time, and the 5-7 pm cocktail hour. We sometimes go to the morning enhanced continental breakfast which is usually held in one of the specialty restaurants. There is "fancy" coffee and mimosas, bloody marys, and a nice atmosphere, but we don't drink alcohol in the morning and we're not coffee drinkers and my DH likes eggs and I like other things so we usually just get room service or go to Blu for breakfast. Some elite passengers go there for the beverages and then go elsewhere for a heartier breakfast.

You'll get a whole sheet of "coupons" which include a bottle of wine discount, some bingo discounts, some $5 casino coupons, a scoop of gelato and maybe some other things I might have forgotten.

I think it's great marketing strategy and happy for you that you got this. Enjoy your cruise and welcome to Celebrity. Hope you enjoy every single drop of your cruise!!

We were given Elite status on our first Celebrity Cruise, we had booked direct with Celebrity at a UK cruise show, and also got an overnight 'freeby' when Equinox called in Southampton. Needless to say, they caught us, and we will make Elite plus on our next cruise, and that's after 7 cruises, probably not possible on the new points system!

Congrats on being an Elite for this cruise. It happens for sure.

Either you are a big roller, or Celebrity thinks your a whale, or your a Diamond from RCCL or lastly you were just at the right place at the right time! :)

Welcome to Celebrity, and congratulations on being given Elite status for your cruise. Yes, it happens to new Celebrity Cruisers from time to time, and I think you will enjoy it!

You have picked a great ship for your first Celebrity cruise...Silhouette is my favourite!

As far as the "Concierge Lounge" is concerned...I have heard people from other cruise lines sometimes refer to the "Elite Cocktail" event as the Concierge Lounge. Even Celebrity employs a number of different names for the Elite breakfast and cocktail events. But whatever they call them, you will be invited to a complimentary enhanced continental breakfast with specialty coffees and a small list of special breakfast beverages such as mimosa, bloody mary, etc. The complimentary Elite cocktail event (Elite Happy hour, etc.) is from 5 to 7 pm on most days (but not every day), and includes canapes and a limited range of adult beverages...I think there were about 10 offered on my last cruise.

There is no specific lounge on any Celebrity ship where the Elite events always happen, which is why you will not see it on any deck plan. It can depend on the number of Elite and Elite Plus passengers on any sailing where the Elite Breakfast and the Elite Cocktail events are held. There will be a letter waiting for you in your cabin that will explain all of the perks, and the location of the events. The Captain's Club hostess on board will be able to answer any of your questions.

Congratulations again, and have a wonderful cruise!!

We had 30 days on HAL when we began sailing, I wonder if I can get Elite Plus for my next sailing. You know just to keep me interested. :)

That is fantastic you are getting this to show you how it is done on Celebrity. You are aware a concierge cabin is much smaller than your suites on HAL?

You said C3 so we are assuming you mean a balcony cabin. But you also mentioned you usually have use of Neptune Lounge. So just to be sure, want to make sure it isn't Celebrity suite you are sailing in. That would give you Michaels Club which would be closer to Neptune's Lounge.

Welcome to Celebrity, I do hope you enjoy it.

If you're used to booking Neptune suite on HAL, why book a C3 on Celebrity? It's not really a fair comparison.

While the Elite benefits are nice, it really isn't the same as the Neptune lounge. IMHO, you really should be in a CS, RS, or PH with access to Michael's club to get a fair comparison.

I'm sure you'll have fun and it will be a great cruise, especially with Elite benefits, but it seems odd to compare.

Happy sailing,

Jenna

This is BS. I am was on the top level on Carnival, HAL, and Princess before I ever booked a cruise on Celebrity and I was never given any special privileges. I had it sail many times on Celebrity and spent a lot if money to get to the Elite status.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Most of us were not given Elite Perks on our first Celebrity cruise.

BS? I guess they call it Marketing.

I didn't get Elite perks either on my first X cruise but I am not going to begrudge the OP for having them! I hope they have a fantastic time and it encourages them to sail more with Celebrity:)
