Sometimes a sale is not so much a sale as a way of attracting attention to cabins that just haven't sold yet.

I suspect that is always why prices are reduced. If the cruise is selling well, prices wouldn't be reduced. It means that people who can travel out of peak holiday times can get a good bargain.

In my experience, if you are willing to book late, reduced prices are often offered November/early Dec and February.

In addition, booking relatively late, I pick up cruises, on small ships, with no single supplement.

That is a real advantage.

Is that for cruises in those months?

Just booked this one, thought I would add it as the cost per night is good.

Bookings today for Elite, tomorrow for others.

Sun Princess, Tokyo to Vancouver 17 days, May 5th 2021 insides from $1699.

Tokyo, Muroran, Seward, Hubbard Glacier, Sitka, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Vancouver.

Different sectors from Australia, Singapore, Japan, Vancouver through to LA.

It looks like a Circle Pacific but isnt advertised that way.....wondering if the Sun Princess will stay and do Alaska that year?

Sarah, itineraries so far are Brisbane to Freemantle, Freemantle to Singapore, Singapore to Yokohama Yokohama to Vancouver, Vancouver to LA. Then there is nothing else.

I put a FCD deposit on Yokohama to Vancouver, onboard folio is in USD, so not sure where it changes to that, perhaps Singapore, which makes me think it will stay and do Alaska season, which will please those in the US that are not happy with the larger ships doing Alaska.

I reserved a cabin when it opened and the next day that category had gone up $300p/p!!

My original post said May 5th, its departs Yokohama May 2nd, my bad!!

Cannot mention travel agents but a search for a cruise deal or for your cruise holiday and see how you go.

Ok have searched my cruise holiday and several other combinations and still can't find online.  Is this an Oz or international TA?
