Online Check In

It's been a while, and this is one of the few times we haven't used a TA. How far in advance do you do the online check in?

We complete the check in just as soon as we have our travel information confirmed. Love that email that says we're all ready...

Heck, I've checked in, printed boarding pass, luggage tags, motel confirmation and photo release. When do we sail? 07 FEB 2015. Just being prepared and have zero chance of changing cabins due to h/c.

I start my checkin as soon as I book and add travel information as I book it.

I did our online check in the end of February, I paid our cruise off today, and we sail in Dec. :)

Won't do it too close to embark. Never know what types of computer/printer problems will turn up.

When I pay the final payment and it shows up as paid in full. Our upcoming cruise I paid in full when we made the reservations. With the airline, I print our tickets 24 hours before the flight. Wish they'd let us do it sooner.

I also do the online check in after I have made final payment. There is no reason to wait. It is not like checking in for a flight.

How do I get luggage tags. I'm paid online check in done. Do I put them on when I get luggage from the airport

You will be able to print them along with your other cruise docs, like your boarding pass.

Yes, put the luggage tags on after your flight.

I just printed mine today. After you go to online checkin and it says completed there's a section to print cruise documents. Click on boarding pass and luggage tags.

 

On a side note- mine didn't print in color- anyone know if this is a big deal? It says it's ok but idk if would be better in color and more noticeable. Thanks

If you're talking about Royal Caribbean' date=' the tags are in the cruise booklet that will be issued online. Check status and see if it is ready for viewing.[/color']

Carnival makes it easy in the print documents section -- print luggage tags clearly stated.

:) Black & white is ok. I always like to do mine in color. If you have not purchased luggage tag holders yet, I recommend using these sites:

I have a luggage tag holder as well. Put my tags in it before the flight and had no problem. Also helped to pick out my luggage

That's so crazy to me! Hard to believe I can check in nine months in advance! Thanks for the info though :)
