Redsfan Posted August 21, 2014 #26 Share Posted August 21, 2014 yeah too bad you can't put it towards already booked cruises... I have 170K or something, ah well..
sredish Posted August 22, 2014 #27 Share Posted August 22, 2014 You can play on you desktop in addition to the mobile version, more coins and more LP. I'm soo disappointed it's only for new bookings: I have 700k LP and would have loved to get a drink package. I'm too cheap to pay it out of pocket :) Has anyone tried asking if this can happen? Booking to an existing reservation?? I know that sometimes fine print says one thing, but when you call something else can happen....

Naturally, if a cruise is already booked you shouldn't be permitted to apply a 2/1 reward, or a % off reward. However, for the casino, drink packages, and obc rewards, I think those should be able to be applied to an existing reservation.

I'm going to email MyVegas and see if this is the case. To me it's no different than using the rewards for a Vegas show, dinner or something. You don't actually have to book the entire trip with MyVegas...just redeem the reward. In the mean time...I'm playing like crazy!! :D

MLB1828 Posted August 22, 2014 #32 Share Posted August 22, 2014 Following this, I have a cruise booked super soon, would love to add something, but clearly I've already booked the cruise. If anyone hears back from MyVegas, please post here. Thanks :)
phoenix_dream Posted August 22, 2014 #33 Share Posted August 22, 2014 I was really pumped when I first heard about these rewards as I love to play MyVegas and have used points for some nice things in Vegas (and did so without ever buying chips - no way!). But after reading all the fine print, I think these rewards are virtually useless unless you have enough points to cash in for 25% off a cruise or something similar. Since you can't use other perks with them, in almost all cases you would be better off saving them for Vegas IMHO. I will be interested to hear how others are using this offer. AussieVisi2r Posted August 22, 2014 #34 Share Posted August 22, 2014 I'm confused about the actual game. Do you have to buy chips to play with real money??? I played a few rounds and now it keeps offering to sell me chips. R

We go to Vegas twice a year and always have 3 rewards each and never buy chips. It wouldn't be a deal if I had to pay to buy chips, I'd just pay for what I wanted in Vegas instead :)
aggiejade Posted August 23, 2014 #36 Share Posted August 23, 2014 Here is a link to RC's myvegas page with the listing of available cruises. These are available on 8/25. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/vanity/myvegas
aggiejade Posted August 23, 2014 #37 Share Posted August 23, 2014 If you already have a cruise booked you are able to use rewards such as bottle of wine, free play for casino and obc. To use a reward for percentage off, free companion fare, etc, you must be booking a new cruise. Hope this info helps.

Ken at the beach Posted August 23, 2014 #40 Share Posted August 23, 2014 Be careful if you are a C&A member as these MyVegas rewards cannot be combined with C&A discounts. (at least the OBC rewards can't be)

My understanding is that the fine print says one per cruise, but I haven't actually purchased one, so I could be wrong. I'd love to get some free play, but since you can't combine any of the Mlife tier benefits with C&A benefits, I bet that is the case here also. StarSong2001 Posted August 23, 2014 #42 Share Posted August 23, 2014 Arrrrgh! I wish I never opened this post! I just spent 2 hours downloading and standing in the kitchen playing while my iPad was charging. I played a few rounds and now it keeps offering to sell me chips. R Just to further the other response you got, when you first start playing, you will run out of chips very quickly and it can get frustrating. If you keep playing for a period of time (meaning, every day or a few times each day) eventually you will build properties on your Strip and each of those properties will make available new chips to play with. They will periodically 'repopulate' the free chips - some very quickly (maybe 10-15 minutes) and some after a longer period of time. You can also check the 'daily deals' link at the bottom, and every day (for the most part - occasionally they miss a day) you will find a link you can click for additional chips. Finally, you will periodically get emails that include extra chips. I started playing about two months before my last Vegas trip (once or twice a day) and in that period of time I earned enough to get several free buffets, all without buying chips once. HabsFan23 Posted August 24, 2014 Author #45 Share Posted August 24, 2014 So I decided to test the system. I purchased the bottle of wine with the purchase of a specialty dining option. aggiejade Posted August 24, 2014 #46 Share Posted August 24, 2014 If you are just beginning to play myvegas one of the best things to do is have lots and lots of friends that play the game. There are fb pages that give you lots of information on the rules and tips to get the most out of the game. Also they have threads of fellow players that need new friends so they can have more neighbors to collect chips from. When I accept new friends for myvegas playing I make sure they play the game, have a legit sounding name (nothing with myvegas in name), and have a profile pic. aggiejade Posted August 24, 2014 #47 Share Posted August 24, 2014 New info I learned: Only 1 reward per cruise can be used. Also the OBC reward is not combinable with any other offer or promotion, including, but not limited to, Interline, Travel Agent, Travel Agent Friends and Family, weekly Sales Events, Net Rates, Crown & Anchor Discounts, Shareholder Benefits or Next Cruise offers, promotions, or benefits. trev71 Posted August 25, 2014 #50 Share Posted August 25, 2014 This topic seems to confuse me. So since i already booked my 2015 cruise, if i start playing i cant get anything since i already booked. So if i want to cruise in March lets say I have to have the points while I book my cruise and say hey i would like to get a obc ? or do you have to have the points before you book ?
