GROUCHPUSS Posted August 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2014 The rumor is Carnival just released the Diamond deal that was floating around to some Platinum and Gold's. Better check your my offers fast.
cmitch9999 Posted August 21, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2014 got the offer. $100 pp plus taxes, $100 shipboard credit per person based on double occupancy. I can probably swing the time off of work but not sure my partner will enjoy staying home and dog sitting. Pretty limited choices of 3 cruises. Victory, Ecastsy and the Splendor. golfadj Posted August 21, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2014 nothing for us on website but pvp could have gotten us some deals (199 for 7 day inside) for later in the year but we already have two booked thru december
JWGrayson Posted August 21, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Don't know how long it had been available to me as I hardly ever check VIFP offers. I didn't know that was how it was being offered until Disconnections posted the screen print. Hmmmmm....the wheel is still spinning; thus the booking part of the offer hasn't loaded. Must be a lot of folks looking at it. John
elliair Posted August 21, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Even if offered, we wouldn't take it. Never ever would we stay in an inside room - not even for free. Plus the cost of flying to the ship is not in the cards for us.

Better check your my offers fast. Thanks for posting the info. Congrats to those who got it. I wonder why they would reward golds over platinum. Must be another offer to get lost customers back on board. Nothing for me being platinum. Guess Carnival loves some more than others. I already have 2 cruises booked through the end of the year. Sigh. Edited August 21, 2014 by winddawn
ema773 Posted August 21, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I got the offer, we are just getting off of an NCL cruise two weeks prior so not in the cards for us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Disconnections Posted August 21, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) Must be another offer to get lost customers back on board. I don't think I'll be cancelling my Princess cruise to go on the Carnival Ecstasy :D Edited August 21, 2014 by Disconnections
Bookbug53 Posted August 21, 2014 #12 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Looked interesting but very limited. 2 of them would overlap with travel plans for Dream on Nov 2. And air fare all the way to Miami for a 4 day to the Bahamas in an inside. Nope, but thanks!
KelliKevin Posted August 21, 2014 #13 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I booked the Victory for the long weekend...can't pass up a balcony for $140...I don't care where it goes. But I live in Florida so it is easy for me to jump on.... I can eat $140 worth of food in 4 days
picomullet Posted August 21, 2014 #14 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I got it!! Finally!! But can't do. Flights for 4 night cruise, no way. Besides 2 overlap our current cruise... Sure wish it was at a different time and more ports to choose from..
californiatripman Posted August 21, 2014 #15 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I got offer-- $180.00 for balcony 8 day caribbean cruise on splendor but won't use it as it would entail flying from west coast. Also already have booked 4 day in sept. 15 day Hawaii in Dec. and 7 day Mex. Riv. in Feb. Too bad
cruzn buckeye Posted August 21, 2014 #16 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Even if offered, we wouldn't take it. Never ever would we stay in an inside room - not even for free. Plus the cost of flying to the ship is not in the cards for us. These are not just for inside cabins... there are great rates for ovs and balconys too
cruzn buckeye Posted August 21, 2014 #17 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Curious.. also looking at flight which seem high right now... so if you can't take this offer, will they possibly give us some other offers... or is it a done deal??
pamrose228 Posted August 21, 2014 #18 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Didn't get it and would love to do the Splendor one out of NYC but I believe that is the repositioning that ends up in SJ. Also DH has own business and couldn't swing two vacations in one month but geez, I will keep on checking.

nybumpkin Posted August 21, 2014 #20 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I got the offer, and for that price I would happily go with an inside (only had balconies on a cruise:)). However, the timing just doesn't work for us, since DH teaches college.:(
elliair Posted August 21, 2014 #21 Share Posted August 21, 2014 These are not just for inside cabins... there are great rates for ovs and balconys too Flight is too costly - no way would we jump on a 4-day cruise and spend $$$$ for hotel/transportation to port/air fare round trip. That's why we only book west coast cruises, we can either drive or fly. Our upcoming cruise in 9 days the flight was only $53 one way. We couldn't drive it for that price. Never ever would we stay in an inside room - not even for free. Plus the cost of flying to the ship is not in the cards for us. It's $100 for an interior BUT you can pay $120 for an oceanview or $140 for a balcony... With a $100 OBC... thats almost free....

NCTribeFan Posted August 22, 2014 #25 Share Posted August 22, 2014 Once again, I don't receive an offer. But I'm on the 11/1 Splendor anyway. And I booked a Premium Casino offer (not free, and not even that cheap for a solo) on 11/29, but at least the air was cheap and that cruise comes with some perks.
