I contacted Carambola and it looks like the restaurant will be closed when we want to go in early September. Are there other food options nearby or another beach with comparable amenities?

Yes the restaurant is closed, but there will be a small snack bar open as well as lounge chair/umbrella rentals and use of the rest rooms.

I didn't see other food options nearby

My 2 cents......eat a big breakfast and enjoy the beach and just eat a nice dinner when you return

That is what I usually do anyway. We also always have some packaged protein bars for in a pinch.

We go to the Marriott in St Kitts for the day. Beautiful beach, use of the pool and they have an area for snorkeling and restaurant! Perfect day!

That's our plan! Can you advise where the 'snorkeling area' is located? or is it marked somehow? How far off shore? Also best place to park ourselves? :)

thanks

Do you have an email for the reservation? I've checked the web site and can't figure out how to contact them

Is it possible to do a tour in the AM and still do the beach? Is it best to hire a taxi to take you to the sites and then drop at the beach?

I am looking for an answer to this as well. We are thinking of just getting a taxi. We would like to go to Brimstone Hill Fortress in the morning and head to Cockleshell Bay/Beach afterwards. Our ship is only in port 8am-4pm, so not sure if this would give us enough time without being rushed. If not we are thinking of going to Shipwreck since it is closer.

Most of the tour/taxi operators have tours to the major tourist spots (Romney Manor/Caribelle Batik, Brimstone Hill Fortress, Black Rocks and ending up at the beaches of the SE Peninsula). Prices can vary because of entry fees (Brimstone- $10, Caribelle Batik- $3)

We booked a day room. But initially we were going to book the day pass in advance. go on their website and email them. If you do book online bring copies. They couldn't find my reservation for my room but I had confirmation #. They are great with responses.

A room for the day. I reviewed it 11/23 on the t.a. website. It was great for our family of 6 who were all over the age of 10. It cost us less to do that then pay $35 a person for the day pass. Of course if it's 2 people, it's cheaper to get the passes. I liked it there.
