dixieva Posted September 5, 2014 #302 Share Posted September 5, 2014 No news since breakfast? Trainman must be really busy or the wifi on board is down. Thanks for taking us along!
Trainman-2 Posted September 5, 2014 Author #303 Share Posted September 5, 2014 Jim .. still impressed with the pictures from your new camera .. are these taken in normal mode .. or some enhanced mode? Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app The camera has a "Super Vivid" option for every photo taken. I normally use it only for landscape like photos. When I upload them to the notebook I compare them and select the best of the "regular" or "super vivid." The Island of Bermuda is now in sight off the Port side. Regular Super Vivid Sometimes the difference is small, as above, and sometimes the difference is so great that the "super vivid" photo looks "funny." The sun set photos from last night were all using the "super vivid" option.
Fisherlady48 Posted September 5, 2014 #304 Share Posted September 5, 2014 Great report, this is a fabulous itinerary. So glad Judith is better. Saw the Summit just leave the camera area and Breakaway is pulling up its ropes. You may be the only ship there tomorrow! Have a great visit. Trainman-2 Posted September 5, 2014 Author #305 Share Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) We had lunch in the Windjammer today. Judith had two bowls of the excellent Cream of Chicken Soup. I had one bowl of soup and was in the mood for a sandwich of cold cuts. (Mystery Meat) but the bread was so dry that I ate all of the insides like a salad. akcruz Posted September 5, 2014 #306 Share Posted September 5, 2014 Thanks for the live review! I have one question I am hoping you can help me with. Does the casino on board have a Craps table? I know you may not be the gambling type but I would be very grateful if you could help me answer this question! Thanks in advance! Not Trainman but can answer your question, there is one craps table on Vision. When we on last month it was pretty busy every night ($10 minimum bet I want to say but not positive)
ElwoodPDowd Posted September 5, 2014 #307 Share Posted September 5, 2014 Just watched Celebrity Summit depart towards Northwest on Port Bermuda Webcam while Vision was sailing on Southeast side on island towards port. Wishing we were there!
Trainman-2 Posted September 5, 2014 Author #308 Share Posted September 5, 2014 We walked out of the Windjammer and to the Smoking (Other Activites) Area on the Pool Deck just in time for the Belly Flop Contest. The Ship's Senior Officers were also scoring from DEck 10.

Beachin2 Posted September 5, 2014 #322 Share Posted September 5, 2014 You have been aboard for a few days now (and it sounded like it's your first trip on a Vision class) what do you think of the class as compared to other classes? Any particular likes or less than likes? Picture tour of the ship?
Trainman-2 Posted September 5, 2014 Author #323 Share Posted September 5, 2014 Hello Everyone, It is 8:34 pm, Ships Time, as I start this thread and we are settled in our cabin for the night. I am having trouble uploading photos so many of the photos will have to wait for early tomorrow morning to upload. I have a long list of questions and photo requests that I will get to eventually. Many will wait until after we leave Bermuda. We were on the Vision two years ago for a 28 night, round trip, B-2-B Panama Canal Transit. There are lots of changes from the refit, some good (Chops & Giovanni's) and some bad. (no little side mirrors in the bathroom for the ladies to use while brushing their hair) Overall, the ship is in excellent condition (except for one bathroom door lock mentioned earlier) and very clean. The crew is friendly and helpful and we have no complaints. We have not eaten in the MDR and probably will not. We have come to enjoy dinner in the Windjammer or a specialty restaurant more. We consider the food in the Windjammer to be pretty good overall. Occasionally we will try something that is not to our taste and we will go get something else. There is a big difference between something we don't like and something that is poorly prepared or prepared different from what we are used to or expecting. Too many complainers forget this! I am still stuck waiting for photos to upload so I will be back in a few...
