If anyone is interesed I have photos to view of the QM2 leaving Southampton on her Med cruise. With it being the 60th anniversary of VJ day it was very moving especially when the Spitfire flew past and the tugs had their water cannons spraying, to view these photos log on to the following site:QM2VJDay@uk.************* I also have medium quality video footage(took with my digital camera), but was unable to download to site. If anyone would like to see this footage post your E mail on CC and I will try and send it via E Mail. Enjoy (we did) Cec Parkinson:)

There is a short item in the UK Times today stating that the captain and crew of QM2 have been given the freedom of the city of Southampton, but cannot find any other refs to this anywhere else. Anyone know any more.

Well I thought I saw an article last night that mentioned it, but cannot find it on the Daily Echo archive (http://www.thisishampshire.net/hampshire/archive/)

The nearest I got was
