13cheermom Posted September 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2014 For those that have recently gone to HMC with Carnival, and rented a cabana and also had FTTF: What was the whole tendering process like? Wondered if you go with the excursion meeting place or just use the FTTF escort to tender? I realize excursions have one meeting area, whereas FTTF just gets escorted to front of the line for tender. We don't want to be just sitting there waiting in the wrong place. lol:D Thanks for any information!
092306 Posted September 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2014 Last time we rented a cabana, we waited in one of the lounges for boarding the first tender and we saw Platinum passengers led right over to the front of the line by a crew member. We were also Platinum, but didn't even think about boarding that way since we had the cabana, but it would have saved ourselves the wait. I would go to guest services and ask what the process is. It probably differs from ship to ship as many things seem to on Carnival. You may have to meet in a designated area or get an escort. Either way, you'll be on the first tender. Enjoy HMC and your cabana!
13cheermom Posted September 19, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Thanks so much for the information! I really wanted to hear about someones recent experience. I am not in that much of a hurry to get on the island, rather just like to be informed of the easiest way to do things. I will do as you suggest, when we board and select the cabana find out the best way to proceed. 😃 Sent from my iPhone using Forums
jcearth Posted September 25, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2014 Last week on the Conquest, we had a Villa and FTTF. We were also late getting into port due to a medical evacuation, so there were a lot of people waiting to get off. We went to the lounge dedicated to excursions. Cabanas and villas were the first to be called and the first passengers off of the ship. Priority tendering at guest services had to wait until the excursions had boarded in order to get in line to board the tenders.
cb at sea Posted September 26, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2014 Since you say you're not in a hurry to get off the ship, simply go to the tender when you're ready!

I read about the delay of departure on the Conquest last week, hope everything was okay for that passenger. You never know what situation can occur, that's why I was curious as to the best route to take. Good to know that the excursions take priority over FTTF. :) Hope you had a great cruise, it will be our first time on the Conquest.
