LambKnuckles Posted September 28, 2014 Author #226 Share Posted September 28, 2014 Lambie: Ok, I sail the Magic 2 weeks from today. This is my plan: I send you $$ and you make me a CD of all your photos. Then I photo shop myself into a few of them and won't my friends be impressed!?! :D Seriously, I can leave the camera at home, LOL!! Thanks again for the time and energy that you put into this review. It is greatly appreciated. Gina You're more than welcome to use any of my photos in your review... and PLEASE photo shop me into any of your photos!! ;) I think that's why I didn't do as many food photos as I normally do. There are already so many out there!
LambKnuckles Posted September 28, 2014 Author #227 Share Posted September 28, 2014 As it got later in the afternoon, we got more and more packed and zipped up, ready to debark on Sunday. Wingie and I headed outside to see if we could see any flying fish. Yes, the first time I heard about them, I swore I wouldn't fall for them like a snipe hunt... But there REALLY are flying fish and it's so fun to see them!! still nothing... Can you see them??? I know you can see their trailings... Here is a zoomed in and you can even see their wings -- like dragonfly wings...
LambKnuckles Posted September 28, 2014 Author #228 Share Posted September 28, 2014 And our neighbor's window sill... Our last event of the cruise, was a group photo! We gathered in the Lobby, and waited for the photographer. Here's just a few of the photos I took and our official photo, too! This is my group photo, without me... And the professional one... LambKnuckles Posted September 28, 2014 Author #229 Share Posted September 28, 2014 And Nana getting photo bombed... And a few more... ... Then off to our FINAL DINNER... We didn't go the the Legends Show. I have been to many and love them. But I didn't know anyone performing and I truly was tired and knew I had a long drive home in the morning. LambKnuckles Posted September 28, 2014 Author #230 Share Posted September 28, 2014 I always hate having to debark the ship!! I'll miss the caring and pampering and prepared meals and not working and all the relaxing and FUN FUN FUN!!! However, it always happens... even when I took a B2B and didn't have the first time debark and leaving... the second week I did! SO, I don't look forward to the last night and the last morning and seeing the home port. In this case Galveston! I didn't set any alarm clocks -- but when the ship has the thrusters on -- the metal ladder of the bunk SHAKES and RATTLES... LOUDLY!!!! And when we started our 180 turn around in the Galveston Ship Channel... I woke and headed out the door... The sun's not even awake yet... what are we doing home already... and BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, I swear it's not even 60 degrees outside... WHERE DID THE TEXAS HEAT GO??? It was BRISK and NIPPY!!! LambKnuckles Posted September 28, 2014 Author #231 Share Posted September 28, 2014 It's so far off, the zoom lens is hard to hold steady in the breeze and with the motion of the ship... but here's the Navigator of the Seas... coming in behind us... And a small ship heading out... We're getting closer to the dock... here's the Harbor House... There's the NOTS doing her Texas Two Step Turnaround... And backing up to her berth... LambKnuckles Posted September 28, 2014 Author #232 Share Posted September 28, 2014 She has to go around us... And one more photo, after we've had breakfast and are ready to head down to Deck 4, Northern Lights Upper, to meet the other VIPs and debark soon... Now, I do have some miscellaneous photos of the Xunantunich Ruins trip Wingie went on... The ferry that takes them over... The pyramid...

I really enjoyed all your pictures, especially the sunrises. :) Skip was our CD on Freedom in July; I didn't realize you would also have the pleasure of his company. :) Heather

LambKnuckles Posted September 30, 2014 Author #242 Share Posted September 30, 2014 Lambie, loved your review and your pictures. It amazes me how much territory you cover on a ship! I love that you can still travel with your mom. Barb... I love that she and I can still create memories and she still loves to cruise! As for coverage... you know, I lost weight on this cruise. I walked more on a cruise than at home!! I'm not one to sit idle, if there's some where to go or some thing to see... And sometimes it meant pushing Nana. Thank you!! pghsteelerfan Posted October 1, 2014 #244 Share Posted October 1, 2014 I just finished reading your last installment of your review (when I should be doing other things...like cleaning this house that won't "self clean" itself) and wanted to let you know how much I really enjoyed it. Your pictures are wonderful and I love the sunrise pictures. The first ones you got this cruise were some of the best I've seen in a review. I'll have to check out your other reviews as well. Thank you for taking the time and sharing.

LambKnuckles Posted October 2, 2014 Author #246 Share Posted October 2, 2014 What an awesome review! Thank you! Thank you for reading! I hope you found some great places to visit on the MAGIC!! Thank you for taking the time and sharing. THANK YOU!!! (I find myself writing them, when there are still chores to be done!) Part of the reason I write them is to have a travel diary to go back and reread, myself. Partly, to share and let others understand why I love to cruise and why I so enjoy it! And also, because it helps me relive those moments, as I write it, and I think this is why I don't finish it all at once -- and why the end is so hard for me to write... travel girl23 Posted October 2, 2014 #248 Share Posted October 2, 2014 Part of the reason I write them is to have a travel diary to go back and reread, I echo the others, Lambie, as to what a great review this is. I totally understand about it being like a diary. I have done many reviews in the past and it is so much fun to go back and see our waiter's names and other information about the cruise that one tends to forget over the years. I do need to start doing them again. Thanks so much for this fabulous review and your gorgeous pictures. :D
