cooncat_mom Posted September 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2014 I was wondering if any of you who have taken advantage of this discount might know the answer to this question...I'm retired from a volunteer unit and got a discount on my upcoming Bermuda cruise. Now, we were (and still are) a rural rescue and I worked it in the days when we didn't have ID's or badges, so I don't have one. I do, however, have a letter from my state board listing my licenses and the years they were active (I was a Critical Care Tech). Do you think this, plus my passport would be enough? I could also get a notarized letter from my town saying I did 20 years on the unit. I did ask RCI, but the poor rep was stumped and confused as was his supervisor! I figured I'll show up with paperwork and be ready to shell out the difference if that doesn't work.
Doug S Posted September 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2014 They never asked to see my dd-214 or any other ID for my military discount last cruise. They may not ask to see anything, but you never know.
Brian131489 Posted September 22, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2014 I have never been asked to show any Id stating that I'm an EMT or furnish a badge!
cooncat_mom Posted September 22, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted September 22, 2014 Nice to know - thank you! I guess I'll stick with just my license letter then. Appreciate the responses. :)
