Lanyards for Crown and Anchor Members

People use them to carry their sea pass card. I never use them and think it makes you look like you are at a convention. However it seems that many passengers like them so it is a personal choice.

Thank you all for your answers! Conventions to me = work and that is what we are getting as far away from as possible! :p

I have never seen a lanyard in my room unless its the one i bought at the logo shop for 5.95$

I am semi excited about getting my Platium pin next cruise :)

Enjoy and have fun. The weather in NB is one I would be cruising to get away from. Esp in the winter months.

Has Royal Caribbean changed recently about giving lanyards and pins to returning Crown and Anchor Members? They use to have them in the room upon your arrival. My daughter just came off the Allure of the Seas and this is her 4th cruise aboard Royal Caribbean and she said that they didn't have them in the room like previous cruises.

Since when was this???? Never seen one and wouldn't wear it anyway. Maybe the TA bought it

i received a comp lanyard in the casino after leaving my Gold seapass card in a slot machine.....

supposedly the card was found in another machine and turned in to the Casino Cashier who returned it to me along with a lanyard so i would not forget it in the machine again....later found out the card was used to purchase several drinks by someone else gambling....

the charges were deleted from my account when i questioned my bill with Guest Services the last night of our sailing...:)

well the lanyard certainly was not a freebie considering i lost mucho $$$ in the casino on that cruise....

Cool, that sounds good. Anyone else got them at the meet and mingle?

Never got a "lanyard" per se. At all of the last 5 or 6 M&M's we have attended we were given the "Memo Pad on a String" as we call them. It is a small notebook with a small pen that is attached via a plastic loop. It also has a clear plastic pocket on it that will hold your seapass or other card. We've gotten so many of them that we now just leave them in our cabin upon departing. Maybe the OP was in one of our stateroom's after us! :D

The only pins we actually received were our "Gold" pins, which they don't even have anymore I don't think. Our Platinum and Emerald pins we had to see the Loyalty Ambassador on board to get.

I have NEVER been offered a lanyard by Royal Caribbean.

At ANY level of C&A status.

They DO give them to kids in Adventure Ocean.

Pins are presented when you achieve a new level. On a 4th cruise, you are not reaching a new level, usually. (have you been cruising in suites?)

Let me add to the chorus -- no lanyard or pins on ANY of our sailings. Ever.

Really?

After several sailings as gold, platinum and now emerald, we still have no pins either.

No problem... we don't feel left out now :)

Wow - we received a hardbound book regarding the ship's build on our Grandeur inaugural in '96. Times have changed!

BTW pins yes, lanyards no.

We got a lot more than the lanyards also backpacks, dvd about the ships, hats, frig magnets and a certificate in a binder commemorating the inaugural cruises.

No, never a fortunate one for a suite. The last two Royal Caribbean Cruises we have been on we had lanyards in our room along with pins. Maybe I was just lucky I guess.

If you booked with a TA is it possible they sent you them as a gift? Did you see others on board with them?

I just turned Diamond on my last cruise and have never received lanyards. I did get a pin at Platinum but never at Emerald. Since the Platinum one sits in the junk drawer I never asked for an Emerald one. We'll see if I get one now as Diamond.

I think the OP indicated that lanyards and pins were placed in the cabin on each of her daughter's previous 3 RCL cruises, but not on the 4th. Whatever pins she may have gotten on the first 3, they were most likely not Crown & Anchor pins. My guess is that in relating the information, the story has morphed.
