It's a long story but basically due to a lot of OBC I will be buying my drink package after boarding.

Where is the most convenient place to buy a package right after boarding?

Thanks for any info.

At any bar before you buy your first drink, of course!:D

So to do this on board what do you need ? Just your room key ? and then the barman puts the upgrade into the system ??? and you're good to go ? and then pay the $11.50 pp per day on check out ?

Thanks

Stuart

Yes, the total amount will be on a charge slip and added to your on-board account just like any other purchase made on board. When you check in you'll be issued a "sea pass" card which is your room key, identification for getting on and off the ship, and charge card for on-board use and that's all you need to make purchase the package (or an individual drink for that matter). When you buy the package they'll both enter the info into the system so it is on your account and put a sticker indicating the package you've bought on your card.

So if you've got a lot of OBC there's little point pre booking the premium upgrade ? (We've already got the classic package as part of the 123 promo)

That is how we are doing it this year, will wait till on board, upgrade the bev pkg, and buy the 3 night speciality dinning pkg with our OBC from Visa.

We always upgrade on the ship and use our OBC. We have a decently hefty OBC for our next cruise in December and just plan to use part of it to upgrade our package. Always love the premium package :)
