Ladymom30 Posted September 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2014 I keep getting these calls and texts giving me a time to arrive Sunday for allure of the seas. We always arrive as soon as the gates open. Will this be a problem?
setsail Posted September 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Can't answer that as your cruise has not happened yet. Delays happen, deep cleaning, ship late for various reasons
Realtor at Sea Posted September 24, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2014 In August, we arrived at 10:30, were quickly processed and sat comfortably until they called us to board at 11:15.
joepeka Posted September 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2014 This "sounds" like the typical communications to guests to try and get the arrivals spaced out. Go ahead and arrive as you have done previously and enjoy your cruise! :)
cb at sea Posted September 24, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Ignore it....they are just trying to spread out embarkation. Get there when you want!
Clarea Posted September 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2014 I keep getting these calls and texts giving me a time to arrive Sunday for allure of the seas. We always arrive as soon as the gates open. Will this be a problem? There's been no reported enforcement of suggested arrival times at any port in the US. bhaybeegrl Posted September 25, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2014 I got seven text messages (it was really one long message that got divided into seven) and a pre-recorded phone call from Royal a few days before my cruise earlier this month. It explained, in detail, when each deck should arrive at the port. I don't think anyone listened to it and it DEFINITELY was not enforced. Don't sweat it. Merion_Mom Posted September 25, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 25, 2014 They only seem to do this with Oasis and Allure. Maybe it's the experiment of some psychology grad student who is investigating compliance in vacationers or in crowd behavior? ;)
MattInFLL Posted September 25, 2014 #9 Share Posted September 25, 2014 I got the text and phone call at the same time for Majesty today. Glad I let that one go to voicemail. :) I can tell you for certain it has no effect on Majesty. Most people are coming from work and seem to all arrive between 2 and 3.
