Say if my friend is a gold "crown and anchor" member can i board with him skipping the queue or do i have to queue up with other's ?

Depends on the port personnel, but they usually allow a party to stay together.

Like Langley Cruisers, I don't think that there is a separate check in for Gold C&A but this can vary. However, groups boarding together is never usually a problem.

Have a great cruise!

So then what is the difference between "priority check-in" vs "priority boarding"?

After general boarding starts, there's no priority boarding, you board as soon as you check-in.

Before general boarding starts, you would have to wait after check-in. Then when they start to let people on the ship, they let suite guests on first, then others by C&A level.
