If that is the case, will cancel existing booking and re book as we have not made final payment and this would be a chunk of OBC credit for us. :D
SissasMomE Posted September 30, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2014 There are travel agents on the Facebook page who always post the specials ahead of time. It will be on NCL's webpage tomorrow.

cod Posted September 30, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 30, 2014 I got an email today from my online agency but it's re Carnival and lists all the above, 10% back etc. I guess NCL might be offering the same but that would be unusual and NCL wasn't mentioned. I hope you are right for all the folks interested.

Baseball fan Posted September 30, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 30, 2014 Looks like my cruise went up a bit but I'd still come out $100 ahead. Will check it out tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up! Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
Love my butler Posted October 1, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 1, 2014 The offer I looked at says October 1 thru October 14.
jmele999 Posted October 1, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 1, 2014 To all - Keep in mind that you will be asked to re-book your cruise and if the cruise fare is higher, you will pay more. You will also lose any OBC from any other promotions that you got when you first booked the cruise.
js Posted October 1, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 1, 2014 I want to book the Haven H4 and a one bedroom in Haven for Summer 2016 on Breakaway. I so wish bookings were open. I would save some money.
eynsteinp Posted October 1, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Does anyone know if I could still get the 10% OBC if I booked at a discount through Casino at Seas?

rch3 Posted October 1, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Sailing in the Haven on Getaway next July. Compared this promotion to terms of my booking. For an $1100 increase in cabin price, and loss of $400 OBC, we would receive $741 in OBC. Think we'll pass.
KateQ22003 Posted October 1, 2014 #14 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Would this be combinable with the $300 for booking a suite 9 months in advance?
wrestlemom Posted October 1, 2014 #15 Share Posted October 1, 2014 We are booked in the Haven on the Breakaway in June our sailing also went up over $1000.00 we would lose our OBC so I think we will stay right where we are with our $300.00 OBCLL HAPPY CRUSING to all :)
Ewoodspark Posted October 1, 2014 #16 Share Posted October 1, 2014 NCL's marketing strategy is quite interesting. So they are now offering 10% off the price in OBC's. The price of a cruise we booked is now $1969. Nearly $200 could therefore be achieved in OBC. The price when we booked which was 15 months in advance was $1359 !!!. Booking early certainly pays. surran12 Posted October 1, 2014 #17 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Definitely seems to have been a pretty hefty price increase to coincide with this "deal".
dexddd Posted October 1, 2014 #18 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Just checked about 10 sailings on a couple ships and interestingly enough there were price increases on 9/24 and 9/25 about 10%. What are the rest of you seeing?
bangzoom6877 Posted October 1, 2014 #19 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Our cruise would cost $1000 more for the 4 of us, we would lose the $100 onboard credit we currently have, and we would then have $500 in onboard credit. I'll pass...it would still end up costing us $500 more than we are paying now if you subtract the onboard credit from the total price. Glad I booked a few weeks ago! Ewoodspark Posted October 1, 2014 #20 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Our Greek Islands cruise for next year in a BA balcony came on the market 10th December 2013 at $1359. Since then there have been 9 seperate price increases and it is now $1969. A 45% increase.!
dexddd Posted October 1, 2014 #21 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Checked a few more but not 10% increase - more like 4 to 5%.

Gil40 Posted October 1, 2014 #23 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Check my price for my upcoming cruise on the Breakaway on November 9th, price drop 60.00$ per person, paid in full, plus the OBC 123.80. First time with NCL, is it possible to get the difference in OBC? upgrade? Thank you!
Casino Comp Chick Posted October 1, 2014 #24 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Same here, price increase on all 6 rooms I have booked (though 4 are all full comps) Biggest jump is $1600 & $400 for next August Not a deal at all
Rare GeezerCouple Posted October 1, 2014 #25 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Ditto. Since reading about this planned promo several days ago, and also while checking for different cabin availability on a few cruises, all I saw were price increases, fast and furious. Everything we've checked (near OR far future) has gone up just a bit over 10% very recently. Poor souls who take this promo may not realize that the prices will probably (??) come right back down soon. They jump all over the place - and that's fine, as NCL (and many vendors) do "dynamic pricing". What's not so "okay" is to increase prices immediately before a sale, and then announce said "sale".
