Rudeness and bad manners - in the eye of the beholder?

I remember being in a mall not so long ago. A kid was blocking an escalator so I said to my sister I wish she would move. Well the father started laying into me staying all sorts of nasty things about me. The guy was bat crap crazy. Saying something to these idiots just spurs them on. It's pretty sad that some people don't even have the most basic social skills.

Funny I have come to situations very similar situations and have politely said "Excuse Me". The person who may be busy with something or had something on their mind and didn't realize themselves or their child were blocking the way have apoolgized and moved over.

Maybe if you nicely asked the child to move, or said excuse me so the father could hear, he would have done the same thing.

What was wishing to your sister going to accomplish?

Because it was necessary to remove several posts (well over 10) that were off topic and/or personal aspersions, this thread is now closed.
