diwanna Posted October 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2014 We are on a cdf cruise in march, with guests getting on and off at different islands through the cruise. We arrive in st martin and will be disembarking here at 1200 and would like to get the 340pm flight. Seems like a rush but with not eveyone disembarking at once I am hoping we should make it. Has anyone else done this or is it not even possible? Thanks Di
navybankerteacher Posted October 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2014 If you are off the ship by noon, you should be able to be at the airport by 12:30 - 1:00 - which should be fine. Does your cruise documentation show 12:00 as the time you MUST be off the ship (likely that they would want to be able to set up for passengers boarding), or the ESTIMATED time of ship's arrival at St. Maarten - which could mean significantly later? diwanna Posted October 13, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 13, 2014 Thanks for responding, we dock at 12. But not everyone is leaving the ship at that port...

Docking at 12 means you will have been underway for many hours - with the reasonable prospect of a delay, if not en route then possibly in boarding the pilot or just getting alongside the pier, or being cleared by local authorities. Any delay resulting in your getting off the ship significantly after noon could be problematic. There probably are not that many flights to your destination, so it might be worth planning to spend the night.
navybankerteacher Posted October 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 13, 2014 Out of curiosity I checked a website listing cruises generally - which indicated that CDF's Horizon (if that is your ship) arrives St. Maarten at 12:30, not noon, after coming down from Dominican Republic. If that schedule is right, your timing could be tight.
