CruizinMama1026 Posted October 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2014 DH and I are leaving for our 4 day cruise in a few days and are trying to see if we can anticipate how much we may spend. All of our excursions and gratuities are paid for already. We are not planning on purchasing any art. We do drink but we don't gamble. We've considered the CHEERS program but I don't anticipate us drinking $400 worth of booze. Plus we are bringin 2 bottles of wine... I'm just curious what past cruisers experienced with their final S&S bill?
Andoria Posted October 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2014 One cruise I took, my final bill was less than $3.00 and that was only because I bought my mother a ginger ale. Last cruise was a bit more because I hit the casino and hated the free coffee. Also, I found I really liked the chocolate martinis...
iamsteph Posted October 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2014 $30 or so for the cheap internet plan, about $10 in sodas. Then about $100 for the weekly casino donation.
travler27 Posted October 19, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) Our charges (2 people) usually average out to $100-$125 per day. That includes tips and shore excursions. We don't drink much or gamble any but we don't try to be cheap either. We've only done 7 day cruises. Edited October 19, 2014 by travler27
jkneern Posted October 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Looks like your biggest expenses are all ready paid for so.....maybe a photo or 2 will run $10-20 depending on size. Drinks, beers $6ea, cocktails $8-10 ea. I think bingo ran $20. Gift shops, coffee/sweets etc. I'll guess $100 a day
trvlgirlmq Posted October 19, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 19, 2014 For 2 of us on a 5 day cruise we spent less than $50: 4 cocktails total (2 each) and 2 ginger ales. We did not purchase any pictures or other souvenirs this time.
YB Nrml Posted October 19, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Our last cruise was an 8 day with $553.00 OBC. Our final S&S bill was $2.83! :D

HollandAvery Posted October 19, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 19, 2014 I was on my first cruise as an adult so I had no idea what I was doing and was seriously lacking money at the time unfortunately. I think in total we spent just under $50 on the ship. This upcoming cruise I've budgeted quite a lot more...this will be a cruise where I finally have more knowledge AND money. I expect about $275 for drinks for us, $75 + tip for a pedicure at the spa and an extra $100-200 for whatever else I end up buying on the ship. Money at port is a totally different topic. pamrose228 Posted October 19, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Just back from a 4 day Ecstasy cruise, we had a final S & S bill of $360 This included tips, one excursion for two, 2 steakhouse selections in the MDR, a couple drinks, fun shop purchases and photos. Oh and I won $160 in the casino so total expense was $200.
IslandBound79 Posted October 19, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 19, 2014 7 days on the Miracle our final bill was just under $300 our upcoming cruise on the Valor I plan to spend a lot more!
CruizinMama1026 Posted October 19, 2014 Author #12 Share Posted October 19, 2014 These are promising... We have a budget of $500. I was worried that may not be enough. But I can't see myself spending too much money in Freeport. Nassau will be where we spend most of our port money. I figure $150 should be enough for a souvenir, food, and maybe a drink or two. We're going to Blue Lagoon for the day there with the all inclusive beach day package.
tabithakp Posted October 19, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Last cruise was about $1000. Cruise before that was about $500. Thats not including gratuity or excursions. I do enjoy the spa though so as others have proven it can be done for a lot less! Have fun!

Peppa26 Posted October 19, 2014 #17 Share Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) on ship we spent about $60 for extra tips to cabin steward and MDR waiters. ~$30 for a bottle of wine. ~$100 for photos and souvenirs. ~$20 at Casino (about $70 out $50 in). And $25 gone with wind when I stupidly opened my wallet on top deck..... Edited October 19, 2014 by Peppa26

marshhawk Posted October 19, 2014 #22 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Our last two cruises, we cruised with friends so we spent more money on photos than normal. This time I have to pay gratuities-(60) one decent steak from the steakhouse menu (20) one photo (20) and two fruity non alcoholic drinks-10.00, and the just in case I really need something another 50.00 totalling 160.00 for a 5 day cruise. and that is just for me. I am traveling with a friend, and she will have to take care of herself.:p I did purchase 25.00 in cruise cash that is supposed to be assigned to my sail and sign card when i board, so I can add my cash later that evening. I was going to buy a carton of smokes on the ship, but the brand I smoke is cheaper here, than the Marlboros on board.
laurenpie Posted October 19, 2014 #23 Share Posted October 19, 2014 We spent 23 nights on the Legend a few weeks ago, and we came in under budget. Spent $1,925.. $50 of that was internet (we needed to pay bills while on board, if it wasn't for that - wouldn't have worried about internet) Spent a lot on photos - I bought 30 - oops. $200 of it was for 1 days excursions Bought bits and pieces from the gift shop (tshirts, model ship etc) Then the rest of it was from the bar's. boliston Posted October 19, 2014 #24 Share Posted October 19, 2014 drinks is the main hit - about £15 per person per day so almost £300 for drinks for 2 people over 10 days - tips are £4 per day per head so £80 in £10 days - we had a couple of spa treatments but tips and drinks formed the bulk of the bill
