Suesan Jean Posted October 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Hi :) It has been quite a few years since I have cruised on Royal Caribbean and I am planning a cruise next March on the "Jewel of the Seas". :D Eight years ago when we were on "Explorer of the Seas", there was only the Concierge Club that was a "perk" for Suite guests. No Breakfasts and Lunch in a specialty restaurant, no Butler, etc....... Has anything changed since 2006? How about on the "Jewel of the Seas"? Also, can a mobility scooter fit through most cabin doors? I plan on getting an Owners Suite, so there will be room to park the scooter in the room, I was just wondering about getting it into the room. Thank you for any and all thoughts, opinions, ideas and suggestions! :)
jenf22 Posted October 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2014 We just got off of Jewel yesterday. It was our first Royal experience and our first time in a suite. We has access to the Concierge Lounge and were able to have breakfast in Chops if we wanted. We went to the lounge every night before dinner. Every night the lounge was packed and we had to drink our drinks outside of the lounge (area around the Centrum). We had breakfast in Chops once. It was quiet and nice but I think we preferred the section in the Windjammer. Best we could tell, there was no special lunch option. We got to board at 1pm on day 1 and got an escort off the ship on day 7. We also went to a special reception and did a tour of the bridge. I don't know about the scooter fitting through the doors. Hopefully someone else will chime in...
