andreaplants Posted November 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2014 Hello! I will admit that I have given up on the cruise planner a few times due to all the steps as we have two reservations and adjoining cabins. So therefore I may not have read as much as I could. Wondering if someone doesn't mind just explaining the three specialty bookings special they are offering. 20 percent back on meal costs? Or is it on board credit? Thank you! andreaplants Posted November 14, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted November 14, 2014 Sorry for two posts. Also we are wondering if the Royal IQ app and wi fi is a better option than walkie talkies. After the next cruise I would love to get folks' feedback and suggestions. Thanks! We are excited for our cruise in December!

smoosh21 Posted November 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2014 You did get money back, but I had to ask for mine. It did not show up onboard so after 5 days I went to the Diamond Concierge and then I was able to get it to show up.
andreaplants Posted November 18, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) Smoosh21 thank you! We are not diamond members but hopefully that won't be an issue. When you say show up onboard, do you mean you are able to check and see onboard credits? Did you do that on the tv or with royal iq or another way? andreaplants Posted November 18, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted November 18, 2014 I just found in the FAQS on the rCI website that if you book 3 or more specialty restaurants while onboard, you get an actual discount vs OBC. Also, I am being charged full price for my little ones in the planner. Some old posts on here says that gets adjusted once you are onboard. I wonder why. Rare steamboats Posted November 18, 2014 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2014 You have to pay full when you book the restaurants online and then get an onboard credit. Why? I can only assume... There´s a 24 hour cancellation policy. So in case you cancel onboard you might not be entitled to get the discount as it´s 20% for 3, 25% for 4 and 30% for 5 restaurants. So when you book 5 restaurants you get 30% off. Onboard you cancel one restaurants and your discount reduces to 25%. Sure they could also refund you less to equal the less discount. steamboats
